What's the worst show/movie you've ever watched?

I Netflixed the first 5 episodes of Mad Men, and it was honestly the most boring show I've ever tried to watch.

I have children.
I sat through all the Pokemon films.
I still shudder when I see Pikachu.

There is a similar thread floating around somewhere, unless I'm suffering deja vu.

We rented a copy of A Fish Called Wanda, sat through half an hour with straight faces, and fast-forwarded through the rest. Unengaging, over-hyped and very disappointing.

Well, I've seen a lot of movies that I didn't think much of, but the only one I think I'd call "horrible" would have to be "Last Tango in Paris". I don't mind difficult films, and I really tried to find something to like about this one, but just couldn't. Pretentious and boring - I kept nodding off.

Aww! The options are legion! Won't bnother with a list. (((

But I really disliked Godfather 111. The first two are in my 'top twenty favourites' list. But the third installment is so bad. Maybe it's as much the disappointment, but I hate it!

I agree with "Godfather III" for this list. The first two were so great, and then comes this thing that would have been a mediocre, forgettable movie at the best of times.

We won free passes to a movie called "Simply Irresistible" that was a failure rip-off of "Like Water For Chocolate."

There's a magic crab in the movie that, whenever circumstances seem insurmountable, scuttles through and fixes everything. There are a myriad of other issues as well, but that one pretty well sums up the movie.

My wife and I agreed that the free passes were a real rip-off. We called to see if we could get our two hours back, but no go.

Big Brother - when it was first shown it sounded like it might be quite interesting. After half an hour it proved to be unutterably tedious, and I've never been back for more than the amount of time it takes to press the 'off' button on the remote control.
When I do accidentally flick it on, usually late at night, all I ever see is a ghostly black-and-white image of a peaceful dormitory. I just don't get it.

Buffy the Vampire Slayer - never seen an episode of this, but I hate it mightily, thanks to Fun Trivia.

"Legend of the seeker", absolutly terrible. As with almost any show/movie made from a book. "True Blood", same reason.
"The Scorpion King 2" Don't even look at it it's really bad. "In the Name of the King", would be good if they'd done the story in a less cliched way.

Worst All-Time: Manos: The Hands Of Fate. I honestly felt personally violated that somebody would put such execrence on film.

Worst Recent: Ballistic: Ecks vs. Sever. I'm not really sure what I was expecting, but Mark Twain was probably describing this movie when he saw his tortoise-shell cat having a fit in a platter of tomatoes.

I'm laughing (with you, not at you). Because I feel exactly the same way about Phantom of the Opera. It would probably be very entertaining if I were to actually go see it, and I could probably almost recite the libretto by heart due to all the questions about it on Funtrivia that I have absolutely no clue about how to answer.

I cannot come to terms with reality shows, no matter how hard I try. I think it started with Miss World and Miss Universe. There is something nauseatingly uncomfortable about people desperate to make fools of themselves in front of an audience of millions.

I have never seen American Idol, only sound bites of people willingly being insulted.

It's muuch cheaper for the TV companies to show programing that does not require
actors or an intelligent script. The advertisers don't care as long as the ratings are good.

I'm afraid that I could go on and on, but will stop now, before I really start a rant.

I vaguely remeber an Edward R. Morrow quote about television offring the potential for the best and the worst, and it was up to us to choose.

I choose you, Pikachu!
Naruto is a close second in that genre of horribleness. The things we endure for our children...

I've sat through all sorts of things with my children and enjoyed most of them, but the Pokemon film was just awful! I was spared the Spice Girls film as a neighbour stepped in and took the children. Hooray!

The more recent King Kong was pretty awful as well, it just went on, and on, and on....

Loved A Fish called Wanda.

Does "Wild horse wouldn't drag me to see it" count? If so, then Les Miserables, for the same reason that other people have cited Phantom of the Opera! Conversely, I ended up watching Buffy solely due to this site, and thoroughly enjoyed it.

The Godfather wasn't bad, but I've never worked out why it was supposed to be quite so wonderful. Couldn't understand a word Brando was saying and I was quite young at the time. I certainly had no desire to see parts II & III.

Saw the terrible remake of The Poseidon Adventure. It may be set on a cruise ship, but it's a complete train wreck.
I kept rooting for death. The charecters, the casts or mine. Didn't matter. Anything to stop the pain.

"Storm", which I guess was originally a mini-series, then released on DVD, which I unfortunately bought. As near as I can tell, it's a mish-mash about some heroic scientists and stereotypical corporate bad guys fooling around with the weather via some "HAARP-like" transmitter with predictable consequences. The soundtrack music is so ridiculous it's hilarious. Other than that, it doesn't even deserve to be in the Wal-Mart $5 bin.

Have to agree with tsunami. The original was so good and the remake soooo bad!

Also hate beauty pagents and reality shows. How do you know the reality show is real and has not been edited? If it has been edited how can it be a reality show? If I watch I keep asking myself these two questions over and over again.

Manos: Hands of Fate was covered in Mystery Science Theater 3000. If you haven't seen it on MST3000, try it, its very worth it.
