Ebay is very exciting when I have things to sell I decided to part with some collectable Christmas Jigsaws (14 in all) as separate lots. Sevenhave sold, and the other seven are wrapped in brown paper, waiting until the Jigsaw Market picks up, nearly Christmas, to sell again.
The only really disappointment I have had with Ebay isn't with ebay, but with, what seems, the postal service. The jigsaws are all reasonably collectable, and the first in the series, of course, is the most sought after. I managed to sell it, and we sent it. And of course, the only jigsaw which we really wanted to arrive at its destination didn't. The buyer seems very geniune and was just as disappointed as we were. The post office tried to trace the parcel but could not, so refunded the money. Rather a shame, but it wouldn't stop us selling on ebay again Well done Sue, for "de-cluttering"

I'm more of a Amazoner. Amazon.com has a huge selection of items and they don't try to trick you inflated shipping costs.

I will be trying Ebay for the first time...OMG I am a virgin at something, haha. Anywho...I am in the process of selling a huge collection of mine. Cherished Teddies, I have over 100 of the cute collectibles and ready to depart from them.

Good luck with that, it is quite exciting when people are bidding on your things.

I lvoe ebay for finding things that you wouldn't elsewhere. I lucked out once with a book I was looking for. The seller had two other books I wanted. I bid for and won them all so saved several dollars on postage compared to individual postal charges. A mate of mine got interested in eBay after I showed her how it works. She was getting quite good at it all until the Dyson incident. She told me she'd bid on three Dyson vacuum cleaners. I asked "Why three?". She had got carried away, wasn't thinking properly and was now hoping she wouldn't have to buy all three. In the end she didn't. She only won one vacuum. However... looking up Dysons on Tesco's' website, she could have got it for less (marginally). She's happy though and won't be bidding on three vacuum cleaners again. Ever. It pays to know the price of things before you bid on them!

When buying new items it is important to know what they cost elsewhere, if is a secondhand item then that you really need to know the cost of new unless they are no longer obtainable in which case decide your maximum bid and stick to it regardless.

Oooer, there is a bid on one of my old magazines and people watching most of the others.

First one finishes in 4.5 hours and the last one in 6.5 hours - I hope there are some night owls out there, I had forgotten the flippin' clocks were going forward. Lesson learnt, don't list them late in the evening.

Well at least three of the lots are selling, I have been paid already for two of them and a couple of people are bidding on another lot, and more watchers for some others. Oooer, not an early to bed night for me.

I buy a lot of clothes and movies. I'm not one to bid on an item, I usually just click the 'buy now' button.

I like buying items that are in near perfect condition too. I have a hard time buying used items.

I've bought several collectables off ebay, but after one item went missing in the mail, I now pay the extra and get them sent registered mail. A couple of times though I have paid the extra but the parcel was sent ordinary post. Not happy, but at least the items arrived.
