30C is 30C, no matter when it comes around. Compared to the lack of Cs we've been having here (and at night the negative Cs) I'll take anything more than 20C with joy.

For those people who cannot make it to Sydney, but would like to be part of the fun, we can give you a call. Simply PM me with your phone number (with area codes, etc) and your preferred time of call. The phone is generally passed around the table, so that you will speak to everyone there. You can then have lots of fun trying do decipher the Aussie accent, and trying to guess who is who! A hint- my voice is deeper than Exit10's... Only just over a week to go!

... but mine is sexier. Have we decided on a venue yet? It would be good to know before I get on the plane. MarchHare - are you still after a bed? Or anyone else for that matter.

Oh dear Exit - I'd better bring my shiny cutlass to trim the pointy tip, then! Oh and I'm sorry - I didn't answer your kind offer of a spare bed! My nephew has arranged accommodation for Steve and I. Thank you very much for the thought!

That's a lovely idea Ozzz - like pass the parcel with audio instead of wrapping paper! Leo it's been 'a little more' than 30C lately. Like 37C... Well at least there's always a breeze round the Quay. Still looking at City Extra, Ozzz? And will we all wear our FT Badges for recognition?

Oooo! Just looking at the City Extra web page - there's a free glass of wine with every printed page! *prints off a ream or two!*

City Extra sound pretty good. I just spoke to them, and they seat over 300. Reservations are not a great problem. I suggest 5pm, and I will book for 12 people. Meagan, can you please PM me your arrival time? I will not be back on Sydney till about lunchtime on the Friday. MarchHare, if I fax you a few blank pieces of paper, will you print off a few extra for me, too?

LOL Ozzz! Already printed and waiting to roll! We're allowed a free glass with each main course. We'll be Very hungry by then I'm sure! Hopefully there won't be any last minute Friday Afternoon Meltdowns and we can escape from work at a reasonable time! May not be till 6ish allowing for traffic etc. But if you start at 5 - we'll just catch up!

Someone be sure to take a digital camera and post them all in the Staff Room. Maybe we can superimpose Terry and Karen in there somewhere. Hope you enjoy the weather. I'm tired of waking up to 18F (-8C), not to mention the winds. Dave, you're only two hours south of me, and I feel your pain. Eat more jerky!

Agony, those numbers are impossible! Minus 52? Why would anyone live there? And to all those foreigners on my phone list, I promise that we will speak slowly and in single syllables... Nightmare, I am sure there will be several cameras floating around, and the good thing is that Auntie Ren will not be there to make us all wear silly hats with pigtails hanging off them! Less than a week to go. My bellybutton has been puckering and unpuckering with excitement. (Can anyone identify that last quote?).
