The smoke from the chimney of the house across the alley is lying at the horizontal, so winds are brisk. I am not going outside. So, yes, I'd really like to go to Sydney. I hope you guys have a wonderful time. I'm probably fooling myself, but 42 above sounds just heavenly, rather than the other way.

I switched planes and when I arrived in Canberra my friends were waiting for me. Did they say "hello" or "we're so glad you're here" or "was it a good flight"? Nope... they sprayed me. In Canberra the flies are large but just a nuisance - they have politicians for the really evil stuff. In Melbourne, the flies are friendly and like to land on you for a hug. But in Adelaide, the flies are so lonely they try to hide themselves away, right up your nose! Not to mention any other available orifice... And in Sydney? Well, by the time I got there I had perfected the habit of the locals... the Great Australian Wave.
