A certain Aussie, when visiting London, paraded around wearing a policeman's helmet fashioned in plastic.

It sounded like they were all having a great time...even though Greg (Ozzz2002) moaned it is cold at a cool temperature of 20. Than I told him what the weather is like in London.....FREEZING !!

there are 7 of us here at City Extra .. this was punched in on a mobile phone! The time is almost 9 pm.

They seem to be having a good time, I just got off the phone.

Had a long chat with all, I was next on their list obviously! 7 people sure do make a lot of noise!
It sounded fun, and March Hare seems to be loving it, as is Leo.

I'd gladly swap our snow for their 'too cool' 20C ... I'd even be prepared to sit in their place nursing some of those schooners ... if I had to

Despite the weather, (which improved as the night went on), we all had a great time. It is always great to meet new people, and LeoDaVinci is a very nice bloke. Our other 'débutante' was MarchHare007, and her hubby, Steve, who were both wonderful.

The venue was fantastic, with a great view of the Harbour Bridge and all the various watercraft, including a very large passenger liner. We were at the restaurant for more than seven hours, and the meals were terrific. The beer was not too bad, either.

The obligatory phone calls around the world were made, and Gtho4 kept us entertained/frustrated with a few puzzles and matchstick games. He stumped us totally with this one- see if you can solve it! 23,29,31,35,37,41,_,_46.

After all the eating was done, we went for a short walk up to the Opera House, and took a few piccies. I will try to upload some of my pictures in the next few days.

Looking forward to the next one already, and we will try not to organise it so close to Christmas.

Seven hours was not Nearly long enough!

Thanks also to everyone for the after dinner entertainment by way of brain stretching puzzles and of course, trivia!

The venue was perfect and had a comfortable amount of room on the first floor for next year's gathering - about 100 people should fit nicely!
I'm certainly up for future gatherings!

Photos will be posted soon; as soon as I can work out how to do it! LeoDaVinci took quite a few on his very swish camera, but not sure if he can download them before he gets back to Canada in about two weeks.

I had a wonderful time and will post more once I get to a real computer.

I have only uploaded three pics to the FT Photobucket, as the others were not really clear. They were taken with a camera-phone.

There is a photo of LeoDaVinci and Exit10, and another of MarchHare007 and her husband, Steve. There is also one of a pile of cardboard cylinders in a pyramid, that Gtho4 used as a visual aid to explain advanced mathematics.
