Despite the weather, (which improved as the night went on), we all had a great time. It is always great to meet new people, and LeoDaVinci is a very nice bloke. Our other 'débutante' was MarchHare007, and her hubby, Steve, who were both wonderful.
The venue was fantastic, with a great view of the Harbour Bridge and all the various watercraft, including a very large passenger liner. We were at the restaurant for more than seven hours, and the meals were terrific. The beer was not too bad, either.
The obligatory phone calls around the world were made, and Gtho4 kept us entertained/frustrated with a few puzzles and matchstick games.

He stumped us totally with this one- see if you can solve it! 23,29,31,35,37,41,_,_46.
After all the eating was done, we went for a short walk up to the Opera House, and took a few piccies. I will try to upload some of my pictures in the next few days.
Looking forward to the next one already, and we will try not to organise it so close to Christmas.
