I've been playing with another card kit.

Looks great, Liz, and looks like it was a productive day in the background too!

My sister and I went to an evening crop at our local scrapbook store. It's always a good time and if nothing else I always get some cards made. Here are the rest of them from this kit.

These are great cards, Liz! I love your papers (again)! Crops are great fun, aren't they?

It's another Basic Grey kit. I always love their colours, and the way they force me to put colours together that I wouldn't think of myself. And, yes, crops are great fun!

Ah, I suspected as much for the papers! Gotta love BG!

Talking of crops, I made the support for a mini album back in April during an online crop, but only just got to finish the album off last night:

Despite it being for my son, I think it works, despite all that pink and the floral paper.

I think that kind of floral is just fine for a boy's album. It's not terribly frilly or anything. Looks great!

The weather's great here at the moment, and as it's not set to last long I've been making the most of it, getting out and about a good bit. I did take out my scrap-stuff today and made this quickie page:

Thank you, Sue! I'm under pressure at the moment, I have only half the pages done for that particular album, but I need to get the finished one in the post to South Africa by September! I guess I'm going to be working hell for leather at it to get finished in time!

Is the background an actual piece of patterned paper or have you really done it yourself? Lots of work if you did!

Here is a card I made this week

arrr, just realised I didn't colour in the flower!! haha

Cute card, Jill! and that flower looks as if it was meant to be in black and white, don't go colouring it in now!

My background is genuinely stitched together: lots of little squares cut out of scraps, lightly glued down then stitched over. I splashed some gesso (undercoat) around where I wanted the photo to be to have it a little less 'busy' then sprayed over a mask to let the gateway appear.

Here's another page I made using the same technique, only this time I didn't take the lazy way out by cutting large squares, these squares are only 2.5cm² each:

Here's another card I made this week .. quite similar and using my favourite bear. I do them off sketch challenges and I like to have a stack of generic cards to send off for all sorts of occasions and that bear is very adaptable!
