Several times each year I donate cards to the Salvation Army to sell for charity and a couple of weeks ago I sent two boxes for their sale last weekend. The person who sells the cards told me a very sad story.
She said that a young woman, probably in her twenties, came to her stand and asked if there was a special card which would withstand the weather. Glenys asked what she meant and the girl was in tears as she explained. Her daughter died two months ago and the grave didn't have a headstone yet and it was her birthday the following day so she wanted to place something on the grave for her little daughter. She was advised to put the card in a see through plastic bag.
This is the card which she bought for her daughter, it is A4 in size and decoupaged. I felt, and still feel, very humble that she should use one of my cards in this way.
