Sesame Street is 40 years old today. I remember many hours of watching with my children and just loved those little puppets.

I love Sesame Street, but I was very disappointed when the writers caved to The Broccoli Lobby. A Cookie Monster who eats veggies? Is nothing sacred?

Sesame Street has left an indelible mark on our culture. Why are vampire films so popular? The Count. He taught vampire tolerance and has mad Math skills.

Elmo is the only one who annoys the living daylights out of me. He's entirely too chipper, and I have endured far too many years of "Tickle Me" Elmo and "Singing" Elmo toys. They met a tragic demise after a member of my household ran over them repeatedly with a large SUV. I have no idea who would do such a thing.
