Happy Thanksgiving to all who celebrate it and may I add my best wishes to Lady1 and her husband.
I've celebrated Thanksgiving almost every year since moving back to Australia because it means so much to my husband and his mother. Last year I wasn't able to do it because I commenced working full-time (I'd always had the day off in the past because I only worked part-time). So this year my wonderful Maynooth booked time off work and did the whole Thanksgiving dinner himself - ham, turkey, gravy, biscuits, cornbread, mashed potatoes and assorted vegetables. I made the pumpkin pies the night before. He mostly did it for his Mom because she is 88 now and getting a bit frail and recently gave us a big scare when she took ill.
It's Friday already here so we've had our Thanksgiving but I will be thinking of my American friends today because it's still Thursday there!
