In August I posted this photo of a new ground tank we'd had dug.

Here it is after some rain last week. The rain didn't solve our feed problem but it did solve the water worries!~

December already! This was December last year.

I was in San Jose today, and saw this artistic display made of whole and ground coffee beans, and sugar.



Although I don't drink coffee, I'm told Costa Rican coffee is some of the best in the world, and have mailed it to Spain, Canada and Australia. All recipients told me it was delicious!

This was taken from the observation floor of the TV tower in Berlin. Over 600 feet above street level, not for the faint-hearted!

The clock tower at the entrance to Sassoon Docks, the biggest dock in Mumbai. It was built in 1875 by a Baghdadi Jew.

I nipped in just before it got dark a few minutes later.

It was a lovely day for a walk today, and in no more than twenty minutes I found myself on what is essentially a country road! (Also a fairly straight one for satguru's collection )

This is a thatched cottage and the roof is on the same level as the road.

Copago, what are the 2 dark items floating in your water pond? Crocodiles?

At the risk of turning this into the photo-chain thread, here's another fairly straight road, leading into the centre of Berlin. The TV tower dominates the shot!

Noah's Ark?


Spotted this open trailer full of crafts, furniture and mirrors, while we were all stopped at a red light. My guess is that it's imported goods headed for a store in nearby San Jose.

If you look closely, you will find three alligators in this pond located in South Carolina.

This picture was taken in Times Square & shows one of the amphibious vehicles which offer tours of the city, by road & on the water. I didn't get to try it out unfortunately...

Garden Toad

I accidently disturbed this fellow last week when I was digging in the garden. Today I saw him again, hidden away, burrowed back in his hole, which I had left undisturbed hoping he'd return. I believe he's (she's) a cane toad, about 15cms or 6" long. If so, he's quite toxic, but eats a lot of detrimental bugs, beetles as well as decaying matter. He's welcome to stay, as far as I'm concerned!
