My wife and I saw this £D movie last week, and what an experience it was! A simple enough plot, but Oh those special effects. All future Sci-Fi movies will be second rate unless they are shown in 3D!

I saw it first in 2D and then in 3D and I have to say that I prefered it in 2D

My two Favourite genres - Science Fiction and Fantasy brought together in a spectacular format!

MOH and I were similarly entranced and I think the 3D enhanced without having scenes come 'at you'.

I hope they don't blow it with the sequel.

I'm glad I saw it (in 3D), I appreciate the special effects (spectacular!), but I don't care to ever see it again. It is a movie that probably should be seen on a large theater screen rather than a TV set, though, to get the full 'effect' of those special effects.

This movie is overrated. Yes this is a good movie but can't go beyond that.

I saw it in 3D and in Imax 3D. Maybe it's because of where I saw but I couldn't tell much difference. I did like it a lot, but I agree that it will lose a lot on a small t.v. screen.

I agree, on a TV screen, it would be just another sci-fi movie. We saw it on wide screen, and loved it. I occasionally removed the 3D glasses, and could always clearly see blurred images of moving backgrounds and figures. Presumably the 2D movie was shot in 2D, without any 3D effects, as otherwise the blurring would have been very annoying. No question in my mind though, the 3D was pretty spectacular!

Ofcourse this movie can wrote the line for its own. Now newly made this type of movie will be the following the Avtar. I am telling that this type of Sci-Fi movie plot is very expensive and the most important is the execution of this type of movie and Avtar's technicians can do this superbly.

The movie was amazing. The 3D was spectacular. Much better than Imax 3D. Though the previews I've seen on TV for the movie makes it look very cartoony. In 3D it looked real (that is if you got really into the movie and forget it was a movie). It will change the movie a lot. If someone is seeing it for the first time in 2D, it won't the same effect.

After seeing Avatar in 3D at the movie theater, I was actually quite impressed with the visuals on my old SDTV; the colors and luminescence were still amazing, IMO. I was prepared to be disappointed, but wasn't at all.

I just watched it last night and thought it was good as well. don't know if I would have gotten nauseous watching it in 3D though!

I agree, it is good sci-fi, but not exactly ground-breaking.
