I do a lot of online jigsaws and these have a sound menu, but not the ones I would like. Where could I find a click noise to use when a puzzle piece locks? At present I have a bell noise which is driving me mad! I have looked through all my downloaded and gratis sound files, but not one click!

If the program allows you to set your own sounds, you should be able to find a 'click' in C:\Windows\Media. Browse through to that directory and look out for Menu Command.wav and select it.

Before doing that, you can always go to the directory through Windows Explorer and try all the .wav sounds by double-clicking on them. If the Menu Command.wav isn't suitable, do an Internet search for click.wav. Lots will come up. Be sure you trust any site you download content from though. Probably best to use the Menu Command.wav you already have.

I checked in my Windows Media folder and saw all the usual Microsoft sounds, but no click sound, so maybe it got deleted somehow. Took your advice TW and hunted through the internet until I found a downloadable click and did scan it for viruses. It refused to be imported into my program, but I noticed that the internet ones are .MP3 and the Microsoft folder only has .wav files. Found a utility which converted the file and now all is well and I have a satisfying click instead of that annoying bell! Many thanks.

That's good . The Menu Command.wav is actually called 'Windows XP Menu Command.wav' on my XP computer. Not that it really matters now but is it there under that name?
