ren33: since the RED theme has been extended a week, can we post again if we already posted in the first week? Also, to save yourself "trouble" you could even make it go for a third week, since Valentine's Day will be upon us shortly.

Oh Yes, that's what I meant, otherwise there would be very few pics in the 2nd (and 3rd weeks!)

Jakeroo, the elder flowers make a passable plonk too, less edge than the berries. A friend and I made some one spring, along with birch sap wine.

Here's something red that is sort of oriental, if not at all related to CNY

I have been on FT for some time now, and have been looking at all the lovely photographs, and thought it was time I learned how to do this. These lilies are from our garden.

Hopefully we never have to use this thing.

The Reclining Buddha at the Jade Temple in Shanghai.

There's only one Chinese temple in Mumbai. I went there a couple of days ago but it was shut and there was nothing I could click. The celebrations are grander in Kolkata which has two big Chinatowns.

Might look stationary, but this Ferrari was cornering at speed, just in front of me!

Sorry about all the garden photographs, but the weather is so cold here, that I have been going over them so I can remember how lovely our yard is in the summer.

This is a Virginia Creeper, which has turned colour from green to red when the weather starts getting colder.

The Village Drum. Pay a few dollars and you can beat the life out of this , ensuring good luck for the coming year.

One of the flowers in a bouquet I recently received from a friend. I'm not very good with flowers but I think it's a day lily.

Not a day lily MG. They are too short-lived to be used as a cut flower. I think yours is an oriental lilium and the pale one in bud is a Christmas lily.
