Present! These interestng houses went up near me recently, the only problem being they were all built on allotments meaning London is losing more and more of its green areas as so many people are coming here from outside. The double front doors mean they may actually be flats as well.

Thanks, Jake. I took it in a friend's car.

Copago, you're back with a bang! Lovely photos all.

Here's Precious, relaxing after a hard day of getting into mischief, including "helping" with the laundry

Hasanabad - the mausoleum of Shah Hasan Ali. Not many people are aware of this place in Mumbai. It's recently been put on the Heritage Structures list and is currently under restoration.

Liz, what a lovely picture of Precious!

This little fellow appears to be looking as intently at me as I am at him.

Precious does look like a mischief maker!
Beautiful windows, Zorba.

Here is Dusty thinking that all this water is alright on a hot day.

(apologies to those I'm friends with on facebook who have already seen all these )

Valentine's Day weekend, and I decided to treat myself to some chocolate, with a different twist to "Love Hearts" I found the messages very amusing

If anyone wants to see a typical road in Harrow then your wait is over.

I have been trying for some time to get Precious to put on her harness, without either trying to eat it, or squirm out of it. Today I finally succeeded (she did try to eat it...) and we went for a little walkies in the back yard.

It snowed here last night - a very wet snow. Anyway, it's the first time snow has stuck in the 15 years I've lived here. I can only remember maybe 2 snow flurries in all that time. This is what was left in my yard this morning.

Camera movement is unlikely as I was using a tripod and it was 'only' a 3 second exposure. It's possible that there was movement when I pressed the button but I would have expected the star to show something as well. It's a mystery.

I saw this interestingly modified Mini in Berlin. Obviously promoting a well-known energy drink. I didn't hang around for a free sample, I don't much care for the taste of it.

Happy birthday Sara, those are gorgeous flowers! A wellshot photo, too.

MotherGoose, that's an interesting insect indeed! It looks to be a fairly large size too. Do you know what kind it is?
Copago, that's an elegantly shaped tree. What kind is it? Dusty seems to be appreciating the newly fallen rain, too.
Zorba, it's heartwarming to see such a beautiful piece of architecture being restored to its earlier glory.
Martin, I think your rectangular moon is apparent distortion caused by lens flare.
Bhs, I really like that blue bottle sculpture ~ I'm a big fan of garden art. Not such a fan of snow, though.
And not to forget cats, chocolate, London houses, and big cans on small cars ~ I enjoyed my browsing through this thread. Thanks to all you photographers out there!

Hope you aren't sick of my zoo pictures. This little monkey loves to untie people's shoelaces if you get close enough to the cage to let him.

bhs63, your picture reminded me of the bottle tree here in Western Australia. If you drive north from Perth on the Brand Highway, out in the middle of nowhere on the side of the highway, there is a whole tree totally covered in brown beer bottles, in the same fashion as your sculpture.

Mags, the insect is a praying mantis and it is about two inches long in the body (not counting legs).

Butcher shop mural

Found during my trip to Paraiso this week, I thought this wall was a work of art.

I've set a personal goal to try not to manipulate my photos. No adding brightness, saturation, contrast or any other enhancements to the photo as made, but to post any to the web as sooc (straight out of camera). This is one of them.

MG, you must have been quite close to the praying mantis then, if he's two inches long.
I for one am enjoying your zoo photos - bring 'em on! That monkey is a cutie, question is.... can he retie the laces?

Great pics .. love the monkey!

We had a day of rain yesterday (yay) so on top of the rain earlier in the week then we are over the moon and our future for the next year or even two has pretty much been assured. Phew.

But bad things can still happen ... oops.

Some interesting art I found on Isla Holbox, Mexico. You have to look at it very closely.

This is one of several Rivercats that operate between Parramatta and Circular Quay, on the Parramatta River.

They are all named after famous Australian female swimmers- this one is Dawn Fraser.

Lovely. What is that tall spire in the bay there? A statue?

And welcome DivineMsDRL
