Here's Maxie who is about three months old. I posted some photos when he was first born. He developed an infection a couple weeks ago and it wasn't looking good for him but a course of antibiotics later and he's looking good. Was a bit worried for a bit there.

Thank you Copago. Maxie is so darn cute. I love goats, and maybe one day I will have a yard big enough to accomodate one. I especially like how they always look like they are smiling.

A portion our back yard looked like this last summer. Hubby made the mill and paddle wheel.

Welcome Divine, that's cute.
Here is our dear old lady, The Peninsula Hotel in Kowloon. You go there if you are flush and want to impress people or have a wonderful afternoon tea. The Lobby is the place to see the rich and famous. In the picture you can see one of the fleet of dark green liveried Roll's. Very luxurious!

I've been to Quiberon- not for a very long time but we stayed in Carnac in 1966 and 1967 but remember it well.

This sign is apparently not as old as it looks, I've been told 1965-79 but not so sure as there were a good number including pressed steel and they all looked like much older types to me.

Welcome aboard, DivineMsDRL.
That's a lovely photo, Santana.
Yikes to your bike, Copago

Another colourful storefront spotted during my trip to Paraiso, this one a pet food store. The sleeping dog lies in wait, in hope....

Hmm, I must have been on the previous page, didn't see all the new additions.

Maxie's got a lot bigger! That's a cool old sign, satguru. Ren, that is a lovely capture of a grand hotel, love the fountain in the foreground.

Cute isn't exctly what springs to mind, and 'critter' in relation to the mouthful of teeth that beastie possesses makes me laugh ... Great pic!

Ren, that is an awesome photograph. I would have loved to be there. I was in Hong Kong in 2002 and loved it.

I haven't posted a photo in some time but we just came back from a 20 day cruise of the Caribbean. Most of the shots I took were of the usual sea and sand. I'm sure no one want to see them. However while visiting St. Thomas we went to Blackbeard's Castle. A series of museums and historic homes. Found there were a whole lot of bronze statues of famous pirates. This one looked a lot like someone from a famous movie, not his face but the outfit.

Wonderful photo Ren! I also love the monkey, the wee goat, Divine's garden pics (welcome, by the way ), the pirate, the seashore and the Costa Rican murals! Everything, in fact

Here we have "The Three Boxes", Papa, Mama and Baby. I don't know if Goldilocks was asleep in any of them, but she might have left some recycling.

Cool statue, Argus .. welcome back!

I posted this photo last week. Today's photo is about from the same spot, taken 11 days later - that's the same tree in the middle there just ever so slightly greener ...

This is the park that surrounds my estate, but unfortunately they didn't bother to create an entrance from it so we have to walk all the way round the block to get there instead of go straight in. I'd probably be in and out all the time otherwise.

Thanks for the welcome Copago, I stopped posting when winter hit, you can only take so many photos of snow. Here is another statue from Bluebeard's castle. It was down in the garden, a rather large but pretty lawn ornament.

My "children". I did write "kids", but to not irk Ren, I changed it.

L - R
Marcie Elizabeth AKA Dollie - a very social cat
Alexis Anne - AKA Bebe - afraidy cat
Edward TC - AKA Eddie - miserable cat

They are all older than 10. I would have to look up their papers to find exact ages, but am unsure where they are.

It was Australia Day recently and I just happened to be in my local watering hole. All the staff were wearing these shirts instead of their usual uniforms. I though they were great!

How much more Aussie can you get?

Today we went to the other side of the island and the Lion dancers were out in force. At the end of a visit to a shop or business the lion stretches up to reach for a lettuce, inside which is a lucky money packet. He throws out the lettuce and keeps the packet, guaranteeing luck for the year to come.
