At Durrell this afternoon. Mummy duck had about a couple of dozen ducklings, a day or two old and so very cute.

You might be able to see more in this link to a video clip.

I have no idea what flower this is. Probably a weed of some sort, most everything else in my 'garden' is.

I would have no vegetation in my garden if it weren't for weeds, Martin! They have their place

This looks like a beach scene but on our place we have a large salt lake and it's just the shore line on that. This is about as close as you can get since it is extremely muddy .. I was about ankle deep as it was here.

The big splash! Yes there is someone in the pool but I may not identify him.

this is a paddy melon which grow to about the size of a softball. A cockatoo has had a feed off this one. They don't taste nice at all .. judging by the look on my brother's face the day I kidded him into trying one.

What beautiful Spring flowers! So far I have one daffodil...

This doggy is very friendly at ground level, and seemed to be enjoying basking in the Spring sunshine, so I just had to take a photo!

I'll join in the floral mini-theme which seems to be going on here! This is my japanese maple 'Shaina', chosen with care by my eldest son as my 40th birthday present. He chose well, I love japanese maples and have wanted one since I was a child! This one is young, and is just coming into bloom after the hard winter. I'm really looking forward to seeing it develop its colour!
