I have read through the guidelines and searched the forums but haven't come up with an answer to my question so maybe someone out there can help me?

I am attempting to write a quiz for the brain teasers category but am unclear as to whether or not I have to put II for each question? It seems that brain teasers (as a category) is different from every other category and quizzes dont necessarily have II for each question.

It just seems kind of silly if the only information to put for each question would be the definition of a word.

Is there some specific rule regarding this or am I going nuts for no reason?

Ta

edited to prove I really can spell!!

No, you do not need info for each question. Don't include it unless it's needed to explain a question, etc.

Thanks chrisw

I have ended up using II in the last few questions just to clarify and explain the answers. I guess I'll find out if what I've done is ok once it has been submitted and an editor (probably yourself) has a look at it.

Thanks again

Thanks. I sometimes get people who write novels of info for BT- I really wish they wouldn't!

Yes, I've noticed most of the time if a quiz has no II, it says "please add II", and you can't submit the quiz until you do; but with brain teasers, leaving it blank is just fine. There are a few categories, though, that you HAVE to put II in, or it won't be accepted. In that case, a simple statement is all that's needed; e. g. a hidden word's II looks like "he HID. DENnis did." Something simple, like that. ;-)

I'll keep that in mind, Cris... No more novels from me (I don't think I've ever done that, except maybe one quiz that really needed it...)

Just to complicate matters and get everyone all confused , Brain Teaser *type* quizzes in other categories may have different rules about interesting info. For example, if you do a hidden words quiz in Music, you are expected to explain the answer, *and* give Music-style information on the subject. You might say you are getting the worst of both worlds, having to conform to the rules of both categories.

Haha, yes, but it's easy to give a little extra info on a song or singer or something. Sometimes, anyway... Sometimes it could be a bit hard.
