Just to say that I hope we're all taking moments today to remember our soldiers, and (in ways large or small) are honoring their service to their countries ~ no matter where their countries are or were. I believe that a sort of imperial badge is earned for men and women who have the guts and passion to serve, and I truly venerate those who do it making the ultimate sacrifice by falling as they went. Many of us (myself included) sit back and snort about all that's wrong in the world, and that's as far as we get --- but so many have gotten up and tried to do something about it. War is not pretty, I think we can all agree. But the heroes who fight in those wars? God bless them.

And here's an article that, for me, fits right into how I think a day like today should be celebrated. Happy, Honorable Memorial Day, everyone!

Tap 'er light.

I remember him, but had no idea about his background. If we all sent a copy of this to our representatives (it is appropriate for elected officials in any country), maybe we could get back to Mike's belief that "all [people] have a civic duty to act civilly."

To all who serve, and have served -- thank you
