The fire was 3 weeks ago. There has been a good bit of rain since then and the land is starting to recover already. Another week or so and those fern shoots will all be open:

Here is a Ibis. He was part of a big group of them but just on the edge slightly on his own.

We have some kind of a pot plant where I work. (It's green & planted in a pot, so I'm assuming that's an accurate description.) Anyway, I digress. This flower suddenly appeared the other day:-



It looks rather too much like a triffid for my liking. I'm giving it a wide berth...

We've spent our weekends over the last couple of months renovating our bathroom. This is when we first started to strip out the room.

It still isn't finished. I've learned my lesson and will never do it again.

Well - I don't know about elsewhere, but here in Aus we would call that a Madonna Lily.

Martin,it is a Spathiphyllum or Peace Lily and is fairly common here. I have many in the garden
Nice and reliable at times when it is too hot or wet for other stuff.

From the look on her face, I can tell that Precious has just spotted a bird. She is making urgent little clicking noises that sound a bit like "meh meh meh" and the bird is not in the least bit worried.

Here's another itty-bitty creepy-crawly insect, but don't ask me what it is, as I have no idea other than that the colour against the yellow looked great!

Some more birds - no idea what theey are, have never seen them around here before, but we have a river that runs through the neighbours place (seldom) and they're fishing where the water runs under the road.

That looks like a burnet moth Toni, I've seen many in books but not a real one yet.

I have a very ordinary photo of some very ordinary foxgloves and some very ordinary grass today:

I know they put these platforms up on posts for ospreys to use for nesting, so I'm guessing this is an osprey, sitting in the evening sun.

New houses keep going up to replace old ones in the millionaire's areas, this is in Highgate.



I'm not mad on the roof but the rest is quite nice.
