I just attempted to submit a correction notice from the Hourly Mixed Game. After submitting I got a message that read "inorder not numeric" without a message that the error message had been sent.
The particular question was "10. Salah al-Din's greatest rival during the 3rd Crusade was said to have the head of what?"
In the past I had submitted corrections for this question at least twice when the end of the question read "have the heard of what". The question refers to Richard the Lion-Hearted so it should have read "have the heart of what". It looks like an editor has changed the question, but it still does not read correctly.

There are a few places on the site from which generating a correction notice still throws up an error. It's relatively rare, but they do occur. I've reported them here in the distant past, and so have others...
I think the correction notice makes it through, but we mere mortals cannot verify that.

Historically, it has taken a while (months) for the corrections to make it from the original quiz into the separately stored pool of questions used by the dailies and other competitions. In other words, the question in the pool is out-of-date and remains in error long after the original question is corrected by the author or editor. The pool updates only when Terry "pushes the big button" to do so.

Actually, the updates are supposed to be instantaneous now.
