Whew

!
Thank you, everybody, for the well wishes, happy thoughts and miscellaneous greetings sent my way during this recent (mis)adventure in Gatsbyland. I've learned a lot (pain management slightly high on the list), managed more [in a rather short time, too -- those rehab folks waste no time slave-driving a person into some sense of shape] than I thought could happen. AND? I am now no stranger to screaming shamelessly when vital bones break and surgeons get frisky rearranging them. But the best of it? Popping in here (I got home tonight) and seeing all these greetings/messages. I tip my hat to each and every one of you indeed

!
Here's a quick snap of my rickety self taken at the rehab center's "gym" just before I got sprung. Not too flattering, I reckon. The hat is plain unsightly and the lei is gauche, even on a tourist were he in Honolulu.
But please note that the femur is nicely intact

. I'll write more when I both get some meat on my bones AND catch up around here in the next few days.
