This week we welcome aboard N-Bomb from the other side of the Tasman Sea. He collects a bonus point on his debut appearance which, with gtho4 collecting his first bonus point for the season, completes that column in the standings .. after just 5 weeks! Another weekly win by paper_aero sees him climb up into equal 3rd place with FussBudget, a point behind Sypher. JaneMarple collects her first wooden spoon for the season, and slips down the ladder from 2nd to 5th. KrivoyRog has seen his 8 pts lead out front evaporate in 2 weeks .. we now have a mere 2 pts separating the four out front. From there we have a gap of 4 pts back to the rest of us. His 8 point lead has evaporated to zero. KrivoyRog is joined out front by Sypher, with a single point back to FussBudget in 3rd place .. we now have three players separated by nothing, one solitary point. Instead of 8 points separating 1st and 2nd, we now have 8 pts covering the first 6 players.
ozzz2002 is on a roll .. earlier today he scored a weekly win to lead the UEFA Champions League comp .. and here he scores another weekly to sky-rocket up the table from 13th all the way to 6th place! He collected a few rear-vision mirrors on passenger doors as he flew by .. he took no prisoners. The stewards are still examining the prints.
He wasn't content with a mere weekly win, he also collected the only bonus points .. he had the hide to pick Sheffield United to lose at home and, as if that wasn't enough, he also picked Cardiff City to lose.
Will someone please hand him a copy of the team sheet for The Bluebirds. There was no way known to man they were gonna lose that match .. no-one was backing them to lose! Who does ozzz2002 think he is, KrivoyRog?

Four homes, four draws, and four aways saw 6 wooden spoons with 4 each equals 4/12. FussBudget jagged 7/12 out of that morass for a weekly win .. and one of them was Leeds being held to a draw.
Last week Sypher joined KrivoyRog art the front of the bus .. this week FussBudget jumps into the front seat. It's his turn to check out the front seat.
dg_dave collected two bonus points for solo picks. He picked a draw at Barnsley and Millwall to lose at home. Let's see what he does for an encore next week!
Last week 8 pts separated the top 8 players. This week we're down to 7 players separated by 8 pts. Believe it or not, that's the end of Round 7 .. we only started the other week! |

We have a new leader. KrivoyRog collects his first spoon for the season and steps aside for Fussbudget to take over as front runner. KrivoyRog's lead of 8 pts may have evaporated to negative, but this is not the record .. gtho4 had a lead of 11 pts in week 29 of the 07-08 comp disappear, and then went one better and finished off the podium.
Looks like we now have a contest for all medals .. the two out front are separated by a single point, and the 5 players in 3rd to 7th are separated by just 4 pts.
Someone has picked the result of every game so far this season .. week 8 saw the first game picked by no-one when Burnley v Bristol City finished a nil-all draw. JaneMarple and ozzz2002 scored a bonus point each for picking the upset win.
PaulE and paper_aero are still looking for their first spoon.
Last week 8 pts separated the top 7 players. This week the spread between them is down to 7 pts. |

George, May I ask why dg_dave has an 's' and I don't for the Portsmouth game? Is it the organisers mafia in operation or just a small mistake which could have been made by anyone?

-40°F/C are the same. It was about 24°C here today...much more pleasant than the 31°C we hit yesterday. It's supposed to drop to 13°C tonight. If only I could do a table... kilo=1000 myria=10000 mega=1M giga=1B tera=1T deci=.1 centi=.01 milli=.001 micro=.000001 nano=.000000001 pico adds three more zeroes. Also, it is 17:06 FT, 18:06 CDT as of this post. Who says all Americans can't convert?

The man only weighs ~125...that's nothing. He's running at 5mph. I don't think it's a man, however, as he is only 55" tall (4'7"). I am 1.78m tall, and LDV is almost 2m (1.93m or 1.96m)...what about you, ozzz?
