Three weeks ago paper_aero and ozzz2002 (1st & 2nd) collected a wooden spoon each. A fortnight ago Howie72 (equal 1st) collected the wooden spoon. Last week PaulE (2nd place) broke his duck and collected his first wooden spoon for the season. The trend did not continue .. ozzz2002, who was running second, missed the spoon by one! The spoon score was 3/12, he scored 4/12.
However, the bonus pts trend continues, unabated .. ozzz2002 collected another three, and dg_dave collected another four .. dg_dave became the 3rd player in the history of the FLC tipping comp to collect 4 bonus pts in one round!
Two weeks ago the first four were separated by just 3 pts. Last week the gap was out to 5 pts, and this week it's grown again .. 7 pts separate the first 4 players. That's the end of Round 17 .. another 29 rounds and we see the finish post! |

Between us we averaged 47.4% .. our best effort so far this season. It's more than double our paltry effort two weeks ago!
dg_dave broke his duck and collects his first weekly win, some more bonus pts, and continues his rise up the table. Three weeks ago he was 22 pts behind the leader .. the deficit is now almost halved at 12 pts!
FussBudget becomes the 3rd player to reach double figures for bonus pts.
ozzz2002 once again added to his collection of bonus pts, and is now just one point behind the leader. The last time he failed to score a bonus point was way back in week 7 i.e. this is the 11th straight week that he has collected a bonus point. This has to be some sort of record for the FLC comp .. and for any FT tipping comp over the last 10 years!
Three weeks ago the first four were separated by just 3 pts. Two weeks ago the gap was out to 5 pts, and last week it grew again .. this week it's down to 5 pts.
There are 5 pts between the first four and the middle five, and 5 pts between them and the five tail-enders. We have movements each week inside each of those three groups, but it's been a long time since anyone was able to break out of or into those three groups. |

ozzz2002 hangs on to second spot, despite the spoon, but allows paper_aero to skip away to a 6 pt lead. That's his 7th straight week out front .. same as KrivoyRog, who was leader for the first 7 weeks of the season.
FussBudget is this week's winner. He moves up to 6th place, and halves the deficit behind 2nd place to 6 pts .. last week he was 12 pts in arrears!
We may have a good battle developing for the podium places behind paper_-aero; last week 2nd to 6th were separated by 10 pts .. this week it's down to 6 pts.
Another 4 weeks and we're half-way though this marathon! The next drinks station is just around the corner. |

paper_aero sees his lead cut in half as Howie72 moves into 2nd place to take over the chase. He becomes the 5th player to reach double figures for bonus pts.
dg_dave collects even more bonus pts this week, to join ozzz202 in the 20s .. the rest of us are still in single figures!
No one from 2nd to 5th retained their position from last week.

Back in Week 14 dg_dave was in 14th place, stone cold motherless last .. 22 pts behind the leader, with no weekly wins 3 spoons and 8 bonus points. Fast forward 7 rounds and he's hit pay dirt with two weekly wins and collected a humungous 17 bonus points to climb up to 2nd place, just one solitary point behind the leader!
KrivoyRog has ridden the rollercoaster in the other direction .. back in Week 3 he was running first 8 pts in front of second .. he's now in 11th place 18 pts in arrears.
This week we scored 15 bonus pts between us (which equals the record), and dg_dave collected 4 of them! (which also equals the record)
paper-aero is still the leader, but the first 3 are now separated by just one solitary point. They've skipped away to put 5 points between themselves and PaulE & ozz2002 in equal 4th place. |

Last week ren33 scored her first weekly win .. this week she collects a wooden spoon.
This week's winner is dg_dave with picks of 8/12 .. two weeks ago he collected a spoon. He scores one bonus point for that score, and another for a solo pick (he had the hide to pick a draw at Derby County) and flies up the table to join paper_aero in equal first place .. that's some effort, as he was stone cold motherless last in week 14! He's the 7th player to have a go out front (that's half the field).
dg_dave now has 27 bonus pts, three behind ozzz2002 .. these two players have collected more than 1/3rd of the 161 bonus pts awarded so far! Seven of us (that's half the field) are still in single digits.
The bonus pt awarded to srini701 in week 22 was omitted from the standings table. It's now fixed, and that column now adds (i.e srini701 should have 5 bonus pts not the 4 showing). As for the list of bonus pts in the weekly HoF table; they didn't add either. The error was back in week 8 -- the 5 bonus pts that week should read 7 bonus pts. This has now been fixed, and that column now (also) adds!.
We're now back to where we were in week 22 .. the first three are once again separated by a single solitary point with a sizable gap back to 4th place. As there are still 20 weeks to go, the fat lady is nowhere to be seen, or heard.

After 12 consecutive weeks out front, paper_aero is no longer leader or co-leader. Last week dg_dave and paper_aero were joint leaders, this week it's dg_dave and Howie72.
LeoDaVinci is this week's winner with outrageous picks of 10/12. The two he missed were Coventry v Sheffield Utd and Preston v Leicester. With that effort he climbs up to 4th place, equalling his high-water mark for the season .. achieved way back in week one!
The FLC Record Book has been updated for this effort .. LeoDaVinci becomes the second person to pick 10/12 twice in the history of the FLC tipping comps here at FT.
ozzz2020 collects his 7th spoon for the season (equal with KrivoyRog)
.. 4 of those 7 have come in the last 7 weeks. He falls down the table again to 8th place (some 13 pts behind paper_aero) .. he was in 2nd spot back in week 18, just one point behind paper_aero.
Although N-Bomb is still looking for his first weekly win, he has climbed up the ladder to 10th place, a new high-water mark for the season! |

I know I never tip us to win George but there is method behind the madness. Whenever I tip us to win, we don't, so I've stopped doing it. I know it's costing me points but I can't help myself. however, ozzz picking Scunthorpe to win was just plain reckless.  What on earth was he thinking?
