I am feeling slightly stupid here as I'm having trouble working out some of my son's grade two school work. Please help!

I know what a possesive adjective is but the question is:

"Choose a noun for each possessive adjective"

my________
your______
his_______
her_______

and so on.

Would they mean PROnouns perhaps?
so my = I
your = you
his= he

or is it my = mine?

I dunno but the more I look at it the more confused I get!
(I have sent an email to his teacher but it could be a while to get a response .. you guys are much faster!)

Okay, I lied .. the teacher got back to me straight away! LOL I know she was going away this arvo so wasn't expecting it. All they wanted was a normal noun ..

so
my dog
your jacket
and that kind of thing. Talk about over thinking it!!

Sheesh - the teacher said herself she can't believe they expect this kind of thing out of grade two! LOL
