Ozzz2002's streak of being near the top must have been a real one, as he wins this week's comp with 13...and is the only one to snag a bonus! Here's hoping his streak will continue. He also had the largest movement, jumping 21 places! That has to be a record in any tipping comp.
Maybe Terry shouldn't have talked about the Jets, as they flew high over the Pats...doubled them up.
Cowboys fans are not looking happy as they got downed at home by the Bears, and dg_dave, who lives in Dallas, must have a bounty on his head now...good thing Dallas is a large city!  Will he dare to go against them again next week? Better ask Nightmare as well...should he go against them for an extra point?
LDV's 49ers almost had some extra gameplay this week, but couldn't keep the Saints from splitting the uprights as the 4th quarter ended. He shouldn't be too sad...they kept pace for over 59½ minutes against the defending NFL champions! That's something to at least be happy about.
We had our first defaulter this week, as pyonir must have been away from his computer for too long...he did outscore the Spooners. The number in parentheses is how many weeks someone has gone default. When that number reaches four, they will be considered inactive. If anyone drops below 2nd last and then tips after inactivity, their score will go to the same as 2nd last, however, if their score is over 2nd last, they will only score the points they would regularly.
All of the upsets were road upsets this week, as five favorites were defeated.

Third time was the charm for dg_dave...he's picked the local team to lose every time...the third one bit him.
I'm sure LeoDaVinci was crying somewhere, seeing how his Niners were mopped up and out of Arrowhead. Who figured the Chiefs would be 3-0?
The Falcons and Saints almost had the pleasure of playing for 75 minutes, but a late FG kept us from having a tie...yes, ties can be tipped in the NFL, however, they are extremely rare.
No one is trying to break away...the first three are only four points apart, and top to bottom are only 13 apart...27 places.
There weren't any 21 place jumps this week, but that honor does go to triviapaul for jumping 13. On the other end, themonarch falls by ten, and he didn't even take a Spoon, however, KrivoyRog dropped by the same and did.
Welcome 7pinky7 to our comp...we are now four away from tying the most all time participants in any tipping comp...this dates back to 2000! Let's just hope the tipping comp organizer still has any hair left by season end...lol.
The top two have both won an NFL comp, but the next two have not...will we see our 11th different winner this year? Only time will tell...

Looks like brownie83 had a better time with her favorite team, as did two others by tipping the Browns to win. Poor LeoDaVinci's 49ers are now 0-4...let's hope they don't do what the Lions did in 2008 (or another Lions team did in another sport in 2010)!
No one had the idea to tip Jacksonville to win...that 59yd FG knocked a point off everyone! Guess we figured Indy would dominate the Jags. On the flipside, we had three games tipped by everyone, so no golden woods this week.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked. Half of our 25 upsets have been on the road.
If pyonir does not tip next week, s/he will become inactive and will continue to receive default scores every week. If they tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last.
Jonnowales's score is correct, as he correctly tipped 9 (25 + 9 = 34), added 2 bonus points (34 + 2 = 36), and lost one for tipping late (36 - 1 = 35), so his 35 is correct.

Only half the favored teams won this week, and it's reflected in our strike rate...just under 50%.
Thirteen straight against Oakland and we all figured #14 was on the horizon, and we were all wrong there, as Oakland won against San Diego.
Maybe the tipping comp organizer should pick his team to win...at least just once... He's 3-1 on picks with that team, and, coincidentally, that team is 1-3! Even though the Super Bowl is going to be played there, unless they get their act together, they will not even make the playoffs.
The 1972 Dolphins got to crack the champagne early this year; there are no more undefeated teams at this point, as the Chiefs were the last one, and 21 people said that run was over.

Lots of movement this week, as about only the top two and bottom three stay where they were. A couple that were in 19th last week are still there as well. Less than 1/3 of us stayed in the same place.
LeoDaVinci's 49ers got their first win, so we will never know what would have happened. He said in the tipping thread: "If they don't win, I'll...I'll..." The mystery stays just that.
Since only three upsets won, it's the reason why we scored our best of the season, at just over 60%...first week we've hit 60+%.
Sypher must have known something, as he was the only one to nab any bonuses by picking Seattle to win. He and several others all picked 10+, and the 10's are all a bit down as Sypher nabbed the weekly win with 11.
Maybe the tipping comp organizer should pick his team to win...at least just once... He's 4-1 on picks with that team, and, coincidentally, that team is 1-4! Even though the Super Bowl is going to be played there, unless they get their act together, they will not even make the playoffs. They have had TWO excessive celebration penalties against them...maybe they better just get off the field when they score...nah, they'll get called for excessive celebration anyway. Half of the tippers picked against that same team. When both teams are 1-3 going in, it makes sense, especially since they both aren't doing well.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked. Just over half of our 32 upsets have been on the road.
Any inactive tippers who tip (a 2nd will be inactive next week) and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last.

So, here I sit wondering what in the heck is happening. Being 15 points behind with 3 wooden spoons after Week 6? Holy Cow! I'm embarrassed, but I'm not giving up.
Last season I was 11 points behind after Week 6, and still won it for the season. My neck is sore looking up at you guys and I'm getting tired of it. So, get off the rungs of the ladder because I'm coming up!
How 'bout dem Cowboys! Uhhh sorry, how 'bout damn Cowboys!

"...excessive celebration penalties..." Um, what are they? And how is the 'excessive' measured? I know a couple of Rugby League teams that could get done for that. For instance, Cronulla won the coin toss in one game, and the entire team did a lap of honour.

Lots of movement again this week. Gtho4 makes the most movement by taking the weekly win, and adds an extra for missing only two. Three of us missed only three, and missed out on two points...one for the missed tip and one more for the bonus.
Just about all the upsets were road upsets. The only one upset that the home team won was Carolina over LeoDaVinci's 1-6 49ers.
Two players had their crystal ball working as they picked Oakland to win in Denver, however I don't think their crystal ball said it was going to be a smoked Bronco fest. Forty-five point Oakland blowout.

I know this is football Sunday, but I was just watching one of the most hilarious Three Stooges movies that I've ever seen. Unscripted and unrehearsed, it was a movie about......Wait! It was the Cowboys-Jaguars game! What an embarrassment for the state of Texas.

And the Cowboys were supposed to be favored to play the Super Bowl in their stadium. Now the absolute best they can do is 10-6...and have to win nine straight to do it.
We almost all lost a point, until Ryan Succop kicked one between the uprights at 75:00 through the game.
