Movement aplenty again this week. The top four and a few others stay as they were.
Welcome our 29th tipper, ConzaBhoy, to the comp. He starts with 49 as last week's lowest score was 49. If another one comes in, the bottom two will both gain a few points as both last and 2nd last are inactive, so the score would default to 3rd last, as shown above.
As Terry said above, who'd have thought that Oakland would score 33 after scoring a franchise-record 59? Eighteen did say they'd win at home, though.
Paper_aero did not get a bonus point, as he only picked one road team, which is ineligible for bonus.
Maybe the tipping comp organizer should pick his team to win...at least just once...nah. He's 6-1 on picks with that team, and, coincidentally, that team is 1-6! Even though the Super Bowl is going to be played there, they will most likely not make the playoffs.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked.
Any inactive tippers who tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last (or the lowest active tipper)

Quite a bit of movement again this week, and only two games were picked by under ten tippers.
Three games couldn't be finished in 60 minutes, so they played a little more, but none of them went all the way through OT to determine a winner.
Buffalo may have lost again (now 0-8), but they aren't losing in blowouts like a couple of 1-7 teams...Carolina and Dallas.
Only one underdog won this week, and the one that did was probably the biggest surprise. How did brownie83 know her team would beat the (then) 6-1 Patriots?
Paper_aero did not get a bonus point, as he picked all but one correctly, but picked no underdogs, which is ineligible for bonus. Two others only picked one underdog, but did not have a chance for any bonus points.

Who'd have thought that Philly would blow out Washington in Washington? Not likely the 23 of us who picked it would say that they'd win that big! Philly had 45 at halftime!
One who shouldn't feel bad about a loss by their team is brownie83. They played 74:44 of football before someone won, however, if they'd stopped the Jets, no one would have earned a point, as the game would have ended in a tie! This was the second game this season that played to inside :30 of OT left.

Plenty of movement again this week, and there are seven packed together within ONE point of each other.
We had our highest strike rate at 11.4/16 this week. All four upsets were road upsets this week. If only one more has tipped, we may have had 300 correct tips! The other way would have been for Tennessee to have won instead of Washington (possible 308).
LeoDaVinci wasn't kidding...his team lost at home by a shutout. It didn't help some fantasy teams out there, provided someone is playing fantasy football.
A note: George95's picks were in time (~4pm Friday), but I asked him to split it off after deadline, so he did not incur a deduction since it was asked of him to split it. If he'd split it on his own, he would have incurred the deduction.
Maybe the tipping comp organizer should pick his team to win...at least just once. He did...and now he's 8-2 on picks with that team.
Just a reminder: if you only pick one underdog, you are ineligible for bonus points, and I know exactly how many are picked. Themonarch lost a bonus point for that very reason, even though he scored 13/16.
Any inactive tippers who tip and are below 2nd last, their score will jump to 2nd last, however, if they are above 2nd last, they will not lose points to fall to 2nd last (or the lowest active tipper - which is soon to be 5th last!)

The only three players to earn a bonus point were the three who scored 14+. Two of the three scored 14 and did NOT get the win. That was given to illiniman14 for his stellar picks of 15/16. (need to add to FT HoF post) If he'd picked Minnesota to win, he'd have gone perfect, for only the third ever 16/16 picks. The first was Sypher in April 2006 in NBA, and gtho4 did it two weeks ago in the college football comp.
If only Steve Johnson had caught that 40yd pass...ozzz2002 would have snagged an extra point for that one, especially since Pittsburgh was ahead 13-0, then gave up 13. Each traded field goals, sending that one to OT at 16-16.
†After consulting with higher authorities, the two games that were picked by everyone were given to the late tippers as "gimme" points. The other game (New Orleans vs Dallas) was still a void tip for all players who posted after the 9am deadline Thursday.
Maybe the tipping comp organizer should pick his team to win...at least just once. He did last week...and now he's 9-2 on picks with that team, and was called a traitor for it.

Several people earned near miss bonuses, but only one gets to claim top honors...ozfei with her stellar picks of 14/16. Two players earned two bonus points apiece....Terry for his 13/16 and picking Dallas to win in Indy, and PaulE's 13/16 and the sole person to pick Oakland to win in Southern California.
Outside of four players, everyone scored ten or more this week.
LeoDaVinci extends his lead to five points with four weeks to go. The only person on the podium currently that has not won the NFL comp before is illiniman14...and if he can make a tear, he can cause no one to repeat for the 11th time!
BxBarracuda's hype was very short lived as the Jets were owned by the Patriots in Foxboro. The Patriots were still smarting from their loss in New Jersey (the Jets play in New Jersey - NOT New York) and were out for revenge!

Oh yeah, you've done a great job. We watch most of the games each week (hi Sunday Ticket), so this is really a natural extension of the week. We missed the overall tipping record by three this year...with 29 participants, it's been a tougher slog than most! It is a lot of fun doing these every week...and I think only the three mods have been tipping/collating longer than I have (I started collating May '05...wow, where has that time gone?)

LeoDaVinci keeps his five point lead out front with only three weeks to go. Can illiniman14 or dg_dave catch him at this point? Two of the three have won the NFL in the past, but illiniman14 could keep a streak going, unlike Brett Favre.
Both dg_dave and Howie72 had their crystal ball working in their favor as they both pick up near miss bonuses. Gillyharold must have known the air in Detroit wasn't in Green Bay's favor as Green Bay at 8-4 going in lost to the then 2-10 Lions!
With the way Sanchez has been playing as of late, maybe more than ozzz2002 and themonarch should have gone with Miami to win? They must have known Chad Henne would get the job done, even though he has struggled recently as well.
Will LeoDaVinci win this without taking any awards (HoF or WS)? We will find out in three weeks.
