I don't have a list of Top Ten Best Scenes just now (stay tuned ) but I gotta say: seeing Fat City in a list is a surely terrific thing, around here! Around ANYwhere! That was an awesome movie! Nice to see it mentioned.

Definitely, Gatsby. Fat City is one of the most underrated films of all time.

On a personal note, it was filmed in my hometown of Stockton, CA, when I was about 16 years old. My best friend's dad played the labor contractor who recruits the onion toppers. He was also a substitute teacher in my Spanish class in high school, and I love the part where he's standing by the bus yelling "Cebollas!"
