Gtho4 had hopes of being perfect again and did win the first 14 games played, the last two finals unfortunately didn't go his way, he was able to earn another HoF along with gillyharold, who got his first leaving only ozzz2002 without an HoF this season. In other ozzz2002 news Sypher finally found the right combination to unseat ozzz2002 for the spooon, ending ozzz2002's run of 9 weeks with at least a share of the spoon. Sypher had a dismal 4 right this week while ozzz2002 hit double digits with 11 wins this week and will most certainly eclipse the century mark during the last two weeks. Gtho4 was able to wrest control of the top position from illiniman14's grip, since week 3 only these 2 tippers have been in that top spot
Only Perfect Pick bonus points this weeek. They go to gillyharold, and gtho4 with 14 correct picks, and to dg_dave and N-Bomb for 13 correct picks. Mikey40uf had 13 correct, but only one underdog.
The Iron Bowl and the James E. Foy, V-ODK Sportmanship Trophy was won by Auburn this year over Alabama. The Backyard Brawl saw West Virginia coming out ahead of Pittsburgh. Arkansas won the Golden Boot trophy in the Battle of the Golden Boot over LSU. Michigan State was the victor in the Battle of the Land Grants by defeating Penn State and took home the Land Grant trophy. South Carolina took home the Hardee's trophy by winning the Battle of the Palmetto State over Clemson. The Bedlam Bell was taken by Oklahoma for it's victory in the Bedlam Series over Oklahoma State. Georgia took the Governor's Cup for their win over Georgia Tech in the Clean, Old-Fashioned Hate game. The Commonwealth Cup was won by Virginia Tech for beating Virginia. For both it's earlier victory over Miami (FL) and it's win over Florida in the Sunshine Showdown yesterday, Florida State takes this years Florida Cup home. Notre Dame takes home the Jeweled Shillelagh for the first time in 9 years for their win over USC in the Notre Dame - USC Rivalry game, Notre Dame last won thie seasonal match-up in 2001. North Carolina wins one of many Victory Bell's for their win over Duke. Those were just the sub-plots to the games we tipped yesterday. This week, Rivalry Week, has the most sub-plots to the games played, but you can usually find at least a few rivalry or trophy games played each week during the College Football season.
After having a dearth of underdogs winning the last couple of weeks, the Friday games start with two underdogs wins, with first West Virginia and then Auburn winning as underdogs. The late Saturday games brought two more underdog victors in Notre Dame and Oklahoma.
This was the last week of the regular season. The final two weeks of this competition will involve 32 of the Bowl games and be split into 2 groupings. The first Bowl games will be on December 18th. All deadlines for the Bowl games will be the day before the game is played.

The larger conferences that split into two divisions play their conference championship games this weekend (Big XII and SEC to name a couple), and then they start deciding who plays where.

It's all lumped into one. do those bowl games have anything to do with the regular season standings? It will change the team's record, so using Oklahoma who is 10-2 right now...they play Saturday which will make them either 10-3 or 11-2, their final record would be 12-2 (win both), 11-3 (win Sat/lose bowl or lose Sat/win bowl), or 10-4 (lose both).

This is the 2010 – 2011 College Football Bowl Schedule and what teams have agreed to be in which Bowls so far. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/news/story?id=5168379There are 35 Bowls, so we won’t be tipping three of them. The Little Ceasers Bowl on December 26th, the Insight Bowl on December 28th and the GoDaddy bowl on January 6th are those three we won’t be tipping.

Illiniman14 gets his 8th HoF with 12 correct this week and retakes his spot at the top of the standings and has a 4 point lead in the overall going into the final week. Ozzz2002 retakes his spoon with 6 correct this week, but shares it with dutchy50.
Dg_dave picked up 2 bonus points, a solo and underdog pick for Tulsa's win over Hawaii. Sypher did the same with the final game of Part 1 of the Bowls for us, gaining the solo and underdog points for Washington's win over Nebraska.
Everyone kicked off the bowl season on the right foot with a win from BYU over UTEP.
Underdogs winning are Tulsa, North Carolina State , Illinois, Army and Washington.

This is a mid round update, there are still 6 games to be played in this round, and in the season.
Dutchy50 is in the lead for HoF this week with nine out of the first ten right. Themonarch is in the wooden spoon position after the first ten games with three right.
No solo or underdog bonus points yet this round.
To start this round the same three players were the only ones to pick Sunshine State teams South Florida and UCF to get the upset victories, which they did. They were duthcy50, gillyharold and ozzz2002. Mikey40uf also got a point for the South Florida game, but that was on a default pick. Dutchy50 and ozzz2002 completed a perfect four for four on the first day of this round with another Sunshine State team upset vicotry by Florida State. Last week's spoon winners look well on their way to finishing the season on a high note. The New Years Eve games really threw our stats for a loop as we had five tippers pull down a zero for the day and five more get just one right, with the top three tippers for the season being among those ten. What a difference a day, or year, can make, as day two of this round has the six New Year's Day games all being won by the favorites.
The first four games of this set had underdogs winning, they were South Florida , Notre Dame , the University of Central Florida and Florida State.
Podium possibilities are as follows, illiniman14 has wrapped up the championship for this year’s competition. Gtho4 has secured the second place position. Gtho4 is only two picks out of first, but he and illiniman14 only have one game out of the last six which they have picked differently. Third place is still up for grabs, LeoDaVinci has made a strong push in this final week and has cut into the five pick differential between him and BxBarracuda. LeoDaVinci has made up three games already and he and BxBarracuda have three more different picks in the final six games. If Ohio State defeats Arkansas, Kentucky beats Pittsburgh and the unthinkable should happen and Auburn loses to Oregon, not only will the whole Barracuda household be traumatized, but he will be shut out of the podium.
