The HoF winner this week will have 13 correct, that will either be Sypher by himeself if Auburn wins, or gtho4 and LeoDaVinci if Oregon wins. Dg_dave will take the final spoon of the season with 7 right if Auburn wins and 6 right if Oreggon wins.
A perfect pick bonus point will be earned this week, no solo or underdog bonus points this week.
To start this round the same three players were the only ones to pick Sunshine State teams South Florida and UCF to get the upset victories, which they did. They were duthcy50, gillyharold and ozzz2002. Mikey40uf also got a point for the South Florida game, but that was on a default pick. Dutchy50 and ozzz2002 completed a perfect four for four on the first day of this round with another Sunshine State team upset vicotry by Florida State. Last weeks spoon winners look well on their way to finishing the season on a high note. The New Year's Eve games really threw our stats for a loop as we had five tippers pull down a zero for the day and five more get just one right, with the top three tippers for the season being among those ten. What a difference a day, or year, can make, as day two of this round has the six New Year's Day games all being won by the favorites. Since that first day of all upsets 11 favored teams have won in row.
The first four games of this set had underdogs winning, they were South Florida , Notre Dame , the University of Central Florida and Florida State.
I must apologize for my podium possibilities from last week, I did not figure anyone in contention for a podium position would get a bonus point with how they started the first day. Going into tonights final game if Oregon wins it is possible for gtho4 to get 13 correct, the last 12 in a row, and tie illiniman14 for first place. Also if Oregon wins LeoDaVinci will get a bonus point for 13 right, having correctly picked 11 of the last 12 games, and will tie BxBarracuda for third place. I did not institute a tie breaker scenario at the start, or at any other point during the season and it would not be fair to come up with a scenario now. So if Oregon wins tonight, illiniman 14 and gtho4 will tie for first place and BxBarracuda and LeoDaVinci will tie for third place. If Auburn wins tonight, illiniman14 will take first place, gtho4 will take second place and BxBarracuda will take third place. If the unthinkable should happen and Auburn does lose to Oregon, the whole Barracuda household will still be traumatized, there is no avoiding that. There is more chance of a bring the house down party when Auburn wins though.

Auburn won the National Championship game, which means 16 weeks and 240 picks came down to a 1 pick difference between first and second, setting up the podium as follows illiniman14 takes first place, gtho4 takes second place and a ways back from the top 2 BxBarracuda holds onto third place. The unthinkable did not happen, though if you were watching it was a nail biter until the end, so let the partying begin at the Barracuda household, War Eagle.
