Does anyone know of somewhere online where I can find full text of French fairy tales, that would be suitable for a 9 year old just learning French (e.g. really easy to read)?

The only stuff I've been able to find have not been oriented at young kids or beginners, or I can't access because it says for teachers only. Just looking for like short (2-3 page) stories, I remember reading condensed versions of Little Red Riding Hood or Snow White, etc. when I was in elementary school, so I thought things like that would be pretty easily available on the internet. Maybe I'm just not looking correctly..

Thanks in advance!

You can get Ladybird Well Loved tales in French. Go to their website or here:
http://www.ladybirdflyawayhome.com/pages/foreign_lang.htm. It gives the titles. Hope they are not too easy.

Thanks for the link. I just need texts online quickly though, not actual books (because I'm tutoring a kid and only have a few sessions left) smile But I can Google those titles and see if anything available online comes up!

It was fun. I was a bit worried it was hard, but some of the Aesop's Fables, for instance, are short and simpler. Glad it was what you wanted.

Well the French is a little beyond my student's level, but since they're familiar stories (some of them anyway), it'll work for what I want to do. Mostly just building vocabulary and learning new phrases.
