The NHL season is just under two weeks away. Come one, come all and tip your way through the NHL! Rules: - One point for a correct tip.
- Deadlines will be at the start of the first game.
- Default is equal to the number of away wins each week minus 1.
- Tips not in by the first game's faceoff will receive default score.
- We will tip the opening day games, then 15 games each weekend (all Saturday and enough Sunday/Monday to equal 15).
- As per last year, the midpoints around the All-Star weekend will not be tipped.
Bonus points: - One point for picking a result solo, or one of two, provided 12 tippers apply.
- One point for picking 13 or more of 15. There were enough weeks last year that earned a near miss bonus, and this year's comp will determine next year's eligibility.
- Tippers will be ineligible for bonus points if they tip all homes/all aways or all bar one.

The only LIVE NHL game I have seen was at Madison Sq - Rangers vs Sabres. Excellent game - Rangers won of course.

- Seven must be everyone's lucky number...we have five players with seven points, however, gtho4 got to seven with a bonus point.
- Ozzz2002 does know hockey, as he had the 2nd highest correct tips, however N-Bomb went out on a limb...twice!
- N-Bomb stated above he was going for the most bonus points...at this rate he'll have no issues getting there!

- N-Bomb did not get a bonus point this week, which allowed ozzz2002 to get closer to him.
- Considering five games were tipped by five or less, it's amazing that the strike rate overall was over 50%...must be the five games that were missed by no more than five.
- Ozzz2002 does know hockey, as he is still in 2nd place this week. We'll see if he can keep his composure this season...maybe he ought to play hockey! This seems to be one of his better comps.
- Only a couple scored better than default this week, as nine road teams won.
- Who will score 11 next week and take the top honors? We'll find out next week.
- Transmissions from LeoDaVinci will begin next week...I am starting NBA tomorrow.

FunTrivia.com NHL tipping competition, aka, let's see who wins the most brawls on skates: - Welcome ConzaBhoy to the comp. We are more than willing to add more to the comp, even above the 16 we already have.
- No bonus points were given this week, as all games were tipped by three or more (must have 20+ participants to get a bonus for 3).
- Only one game ended in a shootout...will this comp end that way as well? That's a question that will be answered in April.
- Ozzz2002 does know hockey, as he is still on the podium at the moment. His low water mark is 3rd. We'll see if he can keep his composure this season...maybe he ought to play hockey! This seems to be one of his better comps.
- No one scored worse than default, as KrivoyRog takes this week's Spoon with six, which was also default score.
- Regular transmissions from LeoDaVinci will return next week, as he has been down and out this week.

- Dead-heats : Weekly wins vs wooden spoon countback will determine podium finishes (if they are identical, bonus points will be used)
- Deadline : Drop of the puck of the first game each round ... default score will apply if tips are lodged after the 1st game has started
