I don't think offhand that there are any of the shows which premiered last fall that I am still watching.

There is a mid-season replacement that I love--Harry's Law. I sure hope that one returns.

Looks like Detroit 187 is a goner. Lie to Me has already been cancelled along with The Chicago Code.

I think I'm going to give up on network TV.

Chicago Code was cancelled? That's one of those shows I had on in the background and didn't think it was too bad...

I was pleased to see that "Memphis Beat" is coming back in June - great show! They are really messing with "Criminal Minds"; first JJ then Emily. What's up with that? There was a huge fan backlash over Emily; she returned for a few epis, then they killed her off anyway. Go figure. "NCIS" is doing its typical end-of-season cliffhangers. I absolutely hate they killed off Mike Franks -- big fan reaction to that one too. I'm on the NCIS Wiki site and there are many upset folks. I am hoping maybe his death can be written into a story line as some kind of dream of Gibbs' but my sister says "Franks is not only dead, he's really most sincerely dead." Producers are dropping hints someone else will go. Speculation on the Wiki is that it's Vance, which is ok with me. My hubby keeps reminding me these are just TV shows. Veronikka, I'm with you on "Blue Bloods". Last night's epi, "The Blue Templar" was terrific.

One thing is for sure, it was more realistic and entertaining than any CSI show that's on.

Funny thing is, if you took the exact same show, either "Code" or "Detroit 187" and moved it to CBS and called it "CSI: Chicago" and "CSI: Detroit" they would be killing the ratings. Still baffles me that people can watch that drivel.

I do like Criminal Minds and both NCIS's. Not that big of a fan of the new Criminal Minds though. I like Whitaker, but the role isn't right for him and Garofalo is absolutely terrible.

Yeah - I am upset they killed off Franks as well... I hope Vance goes - I've never liked him since he came and jerked around Shepard!

I'm not a fan of NCIS Los Angeles - it's a bit like a copy wannabe copy, to me. And it irks me that it's set in LA when there aren't really any Navy people in LA - it should have been set in San Diego!

Dagny - I heard on Friday that Harry's Law was renewed for a second season. It's one that I love to watch as well.

Some of the spring/summer season shows are finishing up now and I figured I would give my thoughts ones I have been watching.

Starting with Reality shows, you can see my thoughts on Big Brother in either of the Big Brother threads.

From the commercials leading up to "Expedition Impossible" where the phrase "We're in the Sahara Yo", which was spliced form a longer conversation and made the Spanish Ladies team come off like stereotypes, made it seem like it would be more silly then serious, I was happily suprised to see how intense the competitors and competition is. It reminds me the most of the Amazing Race but involves mostly travel by foot or human power within Morrocco, with some serious landscapes to make it through. The challenges are interesting, both the physical and mental ones, but the main driving force is physical stamina over rough, usually mountainous and uneven terrains with some serious kayaking too. All the teams have been great as well and are all strong competitors.

I was sad to see the reailty show regarding Americans living in Japan and competing on a Japanese game show not return, but this show has made up for it.

"Memphis Beat" is enjoyable, except when they have Jason Lee's character sing.

"Law & Order Criminal Intent" was good, but seems to be on hiatus after only a few shows.

"In Plain Sight" has been good, interesting to see the whole pregnancy going through the process of adoption that the main character is going through, espcially considering her style thoughout the rest of the series.

"Rizzoli & Isles" seems good, though it is only a few epidoes in after getting the latest start of the shows I watch.

I am impressed with the 2nd season of "Covert Affairs", I am loving thow and characters, especially Piper Perabo's. Though each episode there seems to be one thing that appears completely out of place, like overly green CGI grass, ab exploding van looking amateurish and at another point it going night, to day , to night. Little things that should be picked up on and fixed in production. Which is odd because most of the production and scenes I find way above the norm.

"The Glades" is going strong and as enjoyable as the first season. All the characters are great together, but the Jim and Callie relationship with the back and forth is the best.

"Burn Notice", I can never get enough of this show, amazes me how they find an interesting angle for every season (1/2 season) they do for the show.

"Fallen Skkies" has been good, I can't wait to find out more of how they are going to have this story play out.

"Alphas", I didn't like the pilot too much in terms of the characters but I liked hte story. I really enjoyed the second episode when they intoduced a new antagonist who should be a worthy mastermind opponent for the team. This definitely has a "Hereos" vibe to it, but not as many characters to follow every week, which is based off of comic book mutant types like the X-Men. I certainly see a Syler character in the antagonist from the first episode and the third episode reminds me of the brother and sister from Guatamala some.

"Body of Truth" has been good though some of the dialouge, especially to finish some of the shows is bit too drawn for me.
