The Daily game also has three QQ questions (appearing in slots 5, 10 and 15 - at least that's where I just got them). Altogether, there are quite a lot of opportunities:

KO - approximately 200 weekly tourneys, 15 pairings and 3 questions makes some 9,000 chances.
Daily - some 1,000 chances a week
Hourly mixed - all QQ, with hourly events. Since this has random questions, I would assume at least 30-40 per hour, giving around 7,000 per week.

FTBot quizzes and similar events add a few more, so we will see about 20,000 opportunities for a quest question to be chosen every week. There are currently about 30,000 out there, but for the games mentioned above, only those in the sweet spot range for difficulty qualify. That's, from my experience, fewer than half of them.

So - for every question that is rated 0.00 or better and has a "correct" percentage between 55 and 95, you can count on it being chosen on average once or twice a week. For each time it does get chosen, it will be played anywhere between 2 (KO) and 100 (Daily) times.

So I hope this will soothe any fears that these questions may just rot away. They won't.

Wesley, I've seen many general questions that have less than 55% correct in the games. The difficulty also determined in WHICH games the questions will go. For instance, you may see a harder one in the KO game than the daily or average games. :-)

I think you guys got my suggestion wrong - I don't mean that I would want to know where my individual questions go.

I would want to know, when the New Question Game people have rated my quiz, what the future will be for that question.

Maybe (tell me what you guys think) I should start a new thread asking Terry to update the FAQ?

Portgleep - the answer to that question is simple and will always be the same:

The question will have one of two possible destinations:

1) It can go into the great endless void of nothingness. That's for any question being rated below 0.00 (those nasty red rating numbers).
2) It can go into a nice pond with all the other questions where the busy FTbots will be doing their hourly, daily or weekly fishing for questions just fitting their respective perfect nets. Depending on difficulty level and topic, a question will get caught more or less often and for different games.

HOW MANY of these FTbots there are at any one time and WHAT exact criteria they use is subject to consistent variation. Right now rating does not matter once your question made it into the pond, but maybe in a few months or years we might see a "cream of the crop" game where only questions rated 0.4 or better can get chosen. Who knows?

Just a thought - could the FTBot maybe make up different levels of mix quizzes? Like the Hobbies Mix, World Mix, etc. that we have now, plus Harder Literature Mix, Harder Music Mix, etc.? I personally find the mix quizzes a little too easy, even in the categories I am far less proficient in. I know "easy" is different for everyone, but maybe more of the questions could get 'airtime' with another level of Mix quiz.

Hypothetically, with the information already corrected, it seems doable.

Or maybe just use a larger spread, similar to the Monster Quiz - 2 really easy questions, 6 average and 2 very hard. That way, everyone can have fun with the quizzes.

Yeah, that would be better, Wesley. I've noticed that even I can score 8-10 right in history and sci/tech and all the categories I am not too good at. There isn't much of a challenge in those quizzes.

Seconded. Wasn't something like this discussed a few days ago on the forums?
