I noticed yesterday that I had authored a quiz in 15 categories. However the badge has not been awarded yet. Am I just being impatient, or is there a glitch? I have checked the "check my quizzes" button, and it says I have 15 eligible quizzes in 15 categories.

I won it very recently, and it took a while for it to be awarded. Looking at the page where it tells you the last people who got it it seems to be around 9:30-something, 6:30-something, that kind of thing. Although I would have thought you'd have it by now Perhaps you just need to wait.

Plus, it only awards on Monday, so if you became eligible AFTER the Monday badges were awarded, you'll have to wait a whole 'nother week for it to be given to you. :-)

Didn't that used to be 15 different categories with sunnies? Anyhow, the requirement now seems to be that all 15 quizzes are ranked in the top 50% on site. Not sure how that is worked out but it might be worth looking into.

Writing in fifteen different categories is not enough: you need at least one quality quiz (the better half of the quizzes) in at least fifteen different categories.

No, it's always been the top 50%; I don't ever recall it being 15 sunnies... We already have the 20 sunnies badge. The number for 50% keeps increasing, obviously, with 90,000 quizzes, it was the top 45,000, now it's the top 50,000.... etc.

So maybe we need a new badge for 15 with sunnies (having checked that I currently have 19 categories with sunnies)!

Haha, looney, but we already have a badge for getting 20 sunnies, and one for getting 15 categories. Why combine them? It would be too similar, I think.

I reckon that any writer who has sunnies in all 20 categories has achieved something special that is worthy of recognition - I have received a lot of badges for completing much easier tasks. And it might be a stimulus to keep people writing new quizzes when they have managed 15 categories and have 20 sunnies. Of course, writing should be because there is something you want to write, but we all get flat periods, and it could be a useful stimulus for someone who isn't sure what they want to write about next.

Aah, I just checked, and I have 14 categories as sunnies. One off from earning your badge. So close.

14 categories sporting sunnies, one new quiz that will have a ranking soon (in a fifteenth category), and quizzes in two other categories that probably won't become sunnies ever.

Is there a specific time schedule for handing out the badge? It seems I have 15 categories with good quizzes (even with sunnies) but the badge doesn't show in my profile yet.

How long has it been? Some badges get handed out instantly, but I expect this one would only come out after the weekly quiz re-ranking that occurs in the wee hours of Monday morning FT time, usually about 3 or 4 hours after system maintenance. That would be the logical time for a system check of quiz categories and rankings to verify new badges. If you have been waiting over a week, then that is not the answer, and I can offer no further suggestions!

The rankings are done on Mondays (I don't know what time)...and that would be the soonest you'd get that particular badge. Look at the timestamp when the last person received the badge...that should get you a bit of information.
