Zorba: wow, wonderful pix as always. They make me feel warm (we had snow warnings today and somewhere around 70 or so traffic accidents. It took me 45 minutes to get home this evening - it is normally a 12 minute drive for me during summer LOL)

Precious kept wanting to go out in the snow all day today, but wasn't so sure about it once we were out there! She kept trying to dig down to the grass...

This is my daughter and her dance troupe taken at a recent hafla (a bellydancing exhibition). Hope it is okay to post but I didn't think anyone was truly recognizable and the girls were dancing at a public event in a public venue where the organiser gave the public permission to take pictures. My daughter is the one in pink (in the middle behind the girl in green).

This was taken inside Culture Gully in Delhi. Each Indian state is represented along with local delicacies, souvenirs and cultural performances. This colourful truck is part of Punjab.

This one is tonight from a partial lunar eclipse that we were having

Like Copago, I tried to view the Lunar Eclipse, but clouds and city lights made it impossible, However, I did see a group of grey-headed flying foxes (fruit bats) on their way to somewhere south of my house. Quite an unusual sighting for me!




This is a ring-tailed possum which lives in the dense melaleuca tree on my nature strip, and comes into my front garden to graze. I don't often see him (or them), but I know they are around by the fresh droppings on the footpath, and by the fact that the drey (nest) continues to increase in size. I sometimes leave a bit of chopped apple on the fencepost, but don't feed them regularly as I don't want them to become dependent.

We got the full eclipse at 6.30 this morning and although I'd never be around to see it it was overcast anyhow so didn't make much difference. I have a few of the partial eclipse about ten years ago though.
This is a view I've seen all my life but changed every so often, adding the flyover around 1970 and the offices on it in the late 80s. It's on the North Circular Road in Hendon between the two houses I've lived in most of my life. It means little to many other people but is one of the central parts of my world.
