I love trivia and coincidences in TV or movies. What is the link between "The Waltons" and "The Gilmore Girls."



The house used for the Dragonfly Inn is the Waltons house.

An old sci-fi movie had the professor from Gilligans Island and Rip Ohara from Rin Tin Tin as two men possessed by aliens. The actor who played Butcher Sam on the Brady Bunch is the voice of Magilla Gorilla. Any one else got any trivia, I would love to see it.

In an episode of Home Improvement, the house Benny was staying in (he was housesitting for a relative) where Tim and Al (we all know it was Al) fixed a gas leak on location. That house was the Stephens' house in Bewitched some 30 years earlier.

Ok, here's one. The SS Minnow was sarcastically named by the producers of Gilligan's Island after Newton Minow, the FCC chairman famous for his "Vast Wastlend" speech which was highly critical of what was then considered excessive violence and frivolity in commercial television. Evidently they didn't like the cut of his jib very much.
