So many cute puppies in here this month. Here's another one! This is my friend's new "puggle" (cross between a pug and a beagle). Her name is Bella and she's 16 weeks old.

Precious surprised me by not putting up much of a fight getting this sweater on. I thought she might appreciate its warmth when going outdoors for our walk. Getting her harness on over it proved to be too much for both of us, and she ended up refusing to go out the door! Maybe tomorrow, eh?

It is a good example as has the familiar 1953-63 final font (the G tells us that), and although I didn't stop to poke it and check as on a private road appears to have raised letters in pressed steel, the others raised type were cast iron which tends to split, while since the later 50s had reflective tape letters (and some non-reflective) which as expected peels off over time. I would expect the condition would be due to the shelter from the trees surrounding it, and had I given it a wipe as I do with the really bad ones would have looked like new.

I'm afraid my cats aren't as animated as the preceding animals. Both 10-year-olds, they spend most of their lives lazing in the sun and watching the world go by.
They do occasionally have bursts of manic energy - usually at about 3am!

I like cats and Egypt, so over the years Maynooth has bought me these two cats. This Christmas I got the coffee mug - too good to use so it's on display!

MotherGoose, I really like your book collection I love cats and Egypt too, though I don't really have anything to show for it (just an ankh tattoo in planning, and the hope that one day I'll own two British shorthair kittens!)
