N-Bomb continues to maintain his one point lead at the top by picking another HoF (2nd in 4 weeks). He is joined in the HoF this week by Eraserhead (3rd in 4 weeks) and Howie72 (first of many more to come, I am sure :)).
Ozzz2002 picks up his first spoon for the season, but that score is still better than the away win score (default score), so LeoDaVinci, Davjack and MrFox probably have him to thank for the extra point they earned for going default this week.
We had the first draw this week when Western Australia Force and Auckland Blues drew their match 22-22, but none of us foresaw that, nor did anyone pick an "upset" win, so no bonus points awarded for the 3rd week (out of 4). N-Bomb will continue to have the privilege of being the sole bonus point winner for another round

It was a weekend filled with upsets. Previously unbeaten Sharks lost to Waikato Chiefs and the Cheetahs knocked the Waratahs off the top of the Australian Conference table! At the end of it all Western Stormers emerged on top, the only unbeaten team in the competition after 5 rounds!
Over here, Sypher managed to come on top with impeccable picks of 6/7. He only missed the Waratahs-Cheetahs match, which none of us picked! This is his first HoF this season and he battles himself from the middle rungs to 2 points off the lead.
Once again no bonus points and N-Bomb is still at the top by a point, but not against Eraserhead!
rxbigdawg was gunning for a spoon and he got it all right! He was steadily picking up a 4 every round till now but he finally slipped and landed a 2/7 for his first spoon of the season.

Self fulfilling prophicy! I actually thought I had made some good picks...oh well. This seems like a difficult sport to predict... OK, this week I'm going to get my 1st, 1st place finish! (let's see if that works...)

A rather funny looking table this week, with 9 of the 15 tipsters landing a HoF and one brave soul taking home the spoon. We have already had 22 HoFs this season and just 6 spoons! (one for each round so far)
No point mentioning the 9 HoFs (you are just one among the crowd, right ) but rxbigdawg badly wanted to will himself to a HoF, but landed himself a second spoon instead  Maybe another week for him...
MrFox, one of the crowd of 9 this week, also bravely picked the Rebels to win against the Hurricanes, and so landed just the second bonus point for the season! Well done to you!
The cricket World Cup is set to finish this week and I can't say this here again, so everybody go watch some exciting cricket till Saturday

A very colorful look to the table this week with 4 players bagging a HoF spot and 6 bagging a spoon each!
BxBarracuda picked the lot this round to join N-Bomb at the top of the ladder. Sypher, ozzz2002 and newcomer conorharvey, all join Bx in emulating this feat. They all earn a bonus point for their sterling efforts!
At the other end, N-Bomb, Eraserhead, srini701, gtho4, paper_aero all picked their first spoons of the season while George95 picked his second for the season.
Davjack went missing this round, but the spoon score (4) was higher than the default score of away wins (2), so he didn't miss much!

Eraserhead joins N-Bomb and BxBarracuda at the top of the heap at the half way stage of the season with a solid 6/7 picks. He also landed a sole pick bonus to boot for his first bonus point this season!
Joining Eraserhead in the HoF column this week are paper_aero and George95. paper_aero finally broke away from srini701 for the first time this season for his second HoF, while George95 landed his 3rd HoF spot and first bonus point.
DavJack picks up his first spoon for the season while MrFox lands his third. May have been a good week to go default as 5 away teams won in this round!
At the halfway stage of the competition, the Reds, Crusaders, Stormers, Blues, Highlanders and Sharks fill the six play-off berths while defending champions Bulls are in the eighth spot. This is how the table looks like at the half way mark (used spaces to align....hope I got it right ):

As if the top of the ladder was not already crowded enough, Sypher decided to add to my problems here by squeezing his way to the top!
There are now 4 people at the top of the ladder (that's 25% of the comp strength) and another 3 people just 1 point behind them! Half the field is at the top of the points ladder after 10 rounds!!
Ozzz2002 made some bold moves and was duly rewarded with the sole bonus point for the round (he would have won another for picking Western Australia Force to win against the defending champions Bulls, but Eraserhead and MrFox joined him there). Ozzz wins his 3rd HoF for the season while Davjack picks up a second consecutive spoon
The Bulls lost for the 3rd straight time and are their chances of defending the title over now? Looks like it but I wouldn't know....this is a crazy game, after all....

Eraserhead lodged his tips well past the deadline and as a result, missed the chance to go into sole lead for the first time Auckland Blues won, but both Eraserhead and MrFox score a zero for the game
Eraserhead however picked up a bonus point for picking the Hurricanes win (along with Davjack), and so retains a share of the lead along with this week's HoF winner N-Bomb
N-Bomb (he also seems to have picked the whole lot in this week's AFL games ) shares the HoF this week with paper_aero (who as usual is making his customary move towards the top of the pile) and srini701 who landed his second HoF this season.
LeoDaVinci and conorharvey both went missing this week but the default score of away wins (2) was more than the spoon score of 1 by MrFox, if it's any consolation for them!
It promises to be an interesting battle, both on the field for the top 6 spots, and here for our podium finish.....keep watching this space!

Another funny week with 6 people picking up spoons despite picking 4 of the 7 matches!
Eraserhead was on the people winning a spoon this week along with BxBarracuda, Sypher, paper_aero, and the two tail-enders Davjack and MrFox and this has allowed N-Bomb to regain sole possession of the lead after 4 rounds.
N-Bomb has been in the lead or sharing it since round 2! (there, have I jinxed him now....we'll know next week )
illiniman14 and rxbigdawg are this week's big winners and movers with picks of 6/7. Every match has been picked by at least 4 people, including 3 by all 15 tipsters so no bonus points this week.
Conorharvey continues to be default.
We are 2/3 of the way and Davjack is the only man without a HoF while Howie72, illiniman14 and LeoDaVinci are the only active players missing spoons in their cabinet....
Crusaders won their match away against the Stomers, but lost 4 of their players to injury. Injuries also took their toll on the Highlanders who have now lost 2 in a row....

Oh Boy! Talk of jinxes and recipes for disasters, and of them all coming true in one week  ....
George95 noticed this was week 13 of the comp being played out on Friday the 13th and predicted it was a recipe for disaster...it sure was...as a group we recorded only a 47.7% success rate...our worst this season and surely one of the worst we recorded over all the years!
Last week I had written that N-Bomb had been at the top of the ladder right since week 2 and wondered if I had jinxed him by mentioning that....I did .....He had a poor round and fell to the middle rungs for the first time this season...I'm sorry, man
I had also written last week that only man is yet to finish in the HoF this season and the 3 active players were yet to win a spoon....one of them promptly corrected me this week....Howie72 went ahead and won himself his first spoon of the season....now...where are illiniman and LeoDaVinci 
Eraserhead is now at the top of the heap by himself (and that after missing a point for late tips). He picked a solo point bonus to offset his late tip, but he has now lost 2 points due to late tips...He would be breathing a lot easier if those 2 points were in his kitty too....
There were some shock results on the field as well, with the Cheetahs pulling off a shock win over the Crusaders and the Lions ending a 16 year losing streak in Canberra with a bonus point victory over the Brumbies! The Chiefs stunned the Stormers and while I am no expert on this funny game, methinks matters are just beginning to get a little complicated as we head into the business end of the comp, instead of becoming more clearer.....let's see...

illiniman14 picks a third consecutive HoF and a sole point bonus to boot and skips into the lead position now...
8 people pick up a spoon this week, including the previously spoonless LeoDaVinci...my jinx comes true for a second week in a row....now if only illiniman and DavJack also make my other wish come true, we can have a nice symmetry in the Hof and Spoon columns of the table
But Leo also managed a bonus point along with Sypher, Ozzz2002 and MrFox for picking the Brumbies to win against Western Australia Force....that match ended in a draw, just the second tie this season....

With 3 rounds to go, the top 3 may *just* be beginning to pull away from the rest of us here....Sypher and BxB may have a say about that, but let's wait and see
illiniman14's run of successive HoFs has come to an end, but he retains a one point lead over Eraserhead at the top. N-Bomb's picked up another HoF and it promises to be a fight to the finish...
Davjack slumped to yet another spoon here while on the field, the Otago Highlanders came off a break and promptly lost to the table proppers.... |

Oh Boy! Just when you thought the tables were becoming clearer with the finishing post in sight, everybody goes and mucks it up...both on the field and here by all us
Queensland Reds lost for just the 3rd time this season, shocked at home by the ACT Brumbies and bringing to an end an impressive streak of 11 wins. The win has little impact for the Brumbies, but has apparently thrown open the race for the finals. The Blues also lost to the Chiefs, which means any of the top 8 teams can still make it to the finals with 2 weeks remaining. Throw in the fact that a lot of players seem to be injured and we sure have an interesting home stretch coming up
Over here illiniman14 slipped for the second week in a row and has again allowed Eraserhead to catch up with him. But the big news of the round was LeoDaVinci, who picked up an impressive 5/7, plus a solo pick bonus to move all the way from 13 to ....errrrr.... 13  He must be wishing he had this kind of form earlier on in the comp!
Davjack seems to be loving the color red these days, as he picked up his 6th spoon in 8 weeks...he's also the only active tipster missing a HoF (and illiniman is also the only one missing a spoon in his cabinet )

In week 6 I was in 14th place and I have now climbed up to 4th... Don't think I have enough time to get in the top 3 though... Is this week the last week?
