It was nerve wracking towards the end when Wales started to come back. I always want England to win, but resort to my dual nationality when Wales succeed. Having suffered through the 70s (and Max Boyce) it feels good to have turned the tables a bit.

Can you tell me what your lottery numbers are? I want to make sure I haven't picked the same ones!

Italy did come close, though. I'd have liked to have seen them make it.

I've had a look, oz, but I can't find a Six Nations comp. There seems to be one for a group of colonials playing somewhere a long way from here. Was that the one you meant? wink

QB your Six Nations predictions are priceless! I have a €20 bet that England will win the grand-slam so can you please officially predict here on this thread that France beat England in two weeks time. laugh

I hope he will! I'm on for a good treble if England win the grand slam. It's worth at least a lucky duck to you (if I had one, of course)

Italy, France and Scotland. Chris, you can buy me a virtual pint! (Funnily enough, I was actually going to predict France two weeks ago, but I got back after the game had started...)

France made Prince Harry do the happy dance - all that clubbing had to come in handy sometime. grin

Still going strong, QB (apart from the tip you didn't post). Are England going to get the Slam? On second thoughts, don't predict on that one.

Ireland beat England in the cricket which just goes to prove that in sport anything can happen on the day. QB please predict a Scottish win for next Sunday as so far your predictions have been working like a good luck charm. I have a strong feeling that the Irish could pull off a glorious double and therefore sink Englands grand slam hopes, unless of course the 'good luck charm' predicts a win for Ireland! smilee

Just for once, I'm going to let my head rule my heart a bit....
Ireland, France and Scotland to win this weekend.
(I predict we'll beat England in the Calcutta Cup and lose to Italy...)

Never have I been so happy to be wrong again! I so wish I was in Rome tonight! Right, given my 100% record so far, I am cunningly predicting England tomorrow :->

I was biting my nails at the end, just willing Italy to win. They've been so close on many occasions only to have it snatched away in the last minute. I think I may just open a bottle of Italian wine, which my son-in-law brought back from a recent visit to Rome (he was there when England hammered the Italians). No changing your predictions, QB, it's too late now!

I haven't been following the tournament much this year, but I just had to look up today's results when I saw this thread.

Heartiest congratulations to gli Azzurri! Alas, much as I'd like to join rossian in an appropriate celebration (I have a lovely bottle of Barolo somewhere), I'm afraid I opened a bottle of claret just before I came into the forum.

QB I have to say you have nothing on Paul the octopus, but these predictions of yours defy all the laws of averages and are indeed uncanny. I'm now waiting with bated breath for your next set of predictions for the last round of matches, and please, pretty please with sugar on top, predict an Ireland win. smilee

Well done, QB. You've done it again (apart from the pathetic attempt to jinx England by changing your prediction). Mind you, England did their level best to throw it away themselves without your assistance. I assume you've never been compared to an octopus previously, either!

I haven't been compared to an octopus *recently*....I *may* predict Scotland to beat Italy, but if so, only because I want to be rid of Mr. Robinson...I *may* predict Wales, but only because Lievremont made me laugh - will the Curse of the Beagle fall on Ireland or England? Watch this space....
