Gtho4 goes from spoon to HoF this week, splitting the HoF honors with ozzz2002. Ozzz2002 also jumps back into the season lead by 3 points over illiniman14.
Sypher goes from HoF last week to spoon this week with 53 points. His movement up and down the ladder the last two weeks would give a lesser man motion sickness.
Jeff Gordon and Kyle Busch finishing 1 & 2 powered the group to some high scores last week and this week they were at the tail end of our driver list as neither finished the race.
Tony Stewart & Kurt Busch are leading the season points so far with 113. Carl Edwards, Juan Pablo Montoya & Ryan Newmann round out the current top 5. Five time winner Jimmie Johnson is currently 13th.
Bristol is up in two weeks.

Kyle Busch continued his dominance at Bristol, much to the delight of most of us in this competition. Carl Edwards had another solid finish coming in 2nd, he has been 1 or 2 for 3 of the 4 races this season, and Jimmie Johnson scored his second third place finish of the season.
Illiniman14 scored the HoF this week with 125, taking the season lead back from Ozzz2002 and opened up the first double digit lead of the season for anyone. George95 took the spoon this week with 90.
The top three of Illiniman14, Ozzz2002 and Nightmare are starting to pull away from the rest of the field and spots 4 - 10 are within 15 points of each other.
We have reached our first transfer window of the season. No one used any alternates during the first 4 weeks, we will see if that continues with week 5 at Fontana as everyone has the chance to change out their entire line-ups.
How will everyone shake up their rosters? Will Illiniman14 keep up his lead? Will Howie72 bounce back from a slow start? Will paper_aero and KrivoyRog have faith in the same 4 drivers as the other again? Tune in next week for answers to these questions and some race results too.

The first transfer window has come and gone with not much movement. Only Nightmare and BxBarracuda switched in new starting drivers. Bx felt wise for puting last years Chase runner up Denny Hamlin on the sidelines for this race, but more foolish as two drivers he changed out came in 1st and 8th, which along with 7th place Kyle Busch, that he kept, could have earned him the HoF this week.
Illiniman14 continues to set a torrid pace, following his last weeks HoF with another HoF this week by scoring 116 points. He shares the HoF with Sypher, who gets his second HoF of the year. KrivoyRog and paper_aero share the spoon this week with 88.
Sypher and gtho4 have been storming twoards the top over the last few races. Sypher was in 9th just 2 races ago and gtho4 had been in last place just 3 races ago. They are now in 4th and 5th respectively.
Ozzz2002 and Nightmare aren't giving up either, not letting Illiniman14 get too far out of their sight.
Next race is at Martinsville next week.

The Martin Truex Jr. wreck on lap 220 was a bad one and also took out Kasey Kahne, but it was great to see him and Kasey walk away after Truex Jr. hit the wall head on with as much force as he did. The game changer of the day came late in the race as some drivers had and some drivers hadn't yet cycled through for green flag pit stops, when Brad Kesolowski brought the caution out. Those that did pit early restarted a lap behind, or at the back of the pack, on the Martinsville short track as all others pitted on the caution. Nightmares new starting driver Dale Earnhardt Jr. almost broke his winless streak, but Kevin Harvick tracked him down and passed him with 3 laps to go and got the win.
If Sypher had started his alternate Dale Earnhardt Jr., he would have been perfect with his drivers taking the top three positions, instead he had to settle with his drivers coming in 1st, 3rd and 5th, to earn him his 2nd HoF in a row. Normally 101 points is good enough for middle of the pack but unfortunately for gtho4 that is the wooden spoon score this week.
Our picks tore up the track this week as they scored 1555 total points and 1259 points by our top three drivers, which means an extremely high RFD score of 296 was totaled this week. Everyone scored over 100 points, a first for this year’s competition. 6 of us, led by Sypher with an RFD of 38, had over 30 points from our unused driver, and three more of us had more than 20 points for our fourth driver. We averaged 114.5 this week, which topped the previous best average of 109.6.
Illiniman14 pulls a bit away from 2nd place ozzz2002, but 3rd place Nightmare and 4th place Sypher close the gap on him.
Next race is at Texas next week, the first Saturday race of the season.

A mostly clean race, especially by NASCAR standings, which led to long green flag racing to the finish and Tony Stewart crossing the line in 12th even after he ran out of fuel. If he had one more lap of fuel in his car he might have won today's race. Martin Truex was involved in the wreck of the week, as he took down Mark Martin and Regan Smith when he lost control this week.
Ford had a big week, which is great news for gtho4 as his drivers take 1st, 3rd and 4th this week for the HoF, reversing his fortunes from last week's spoon. Sypher does the oppostie going from last week's HoF winner to this week's spoon, in 5 of the first 7 weeks Sypher has taken either the HoF or the spoon.
A lot of movement in the rankings, gtho4 reaches his high water mark of the year tying Nightmare in 3rd place. Howie72 vaults out of last place all the way up to 7th and LeoDaVinci falls into last place this week. There are now only 5 points separating 7th and 11th (last) places, but all of them are currently over 90 points out of first place.
Illiniman14 gives up some ground to ozzz2002 as they pull away slightly from the second pack of Nightmare, gtho4, George95 and Sypher and the trailing pack is bunched up as mentioned earlier.
Next race is at Talladega next Sunday.

Todays race at Talladega saw 26 different race leaders, piggy backing cars going 4 wide heading to the finish line and Jimmie Johnson taking the checkered flag. Johnson and his pushing partner Dale Earnhardt Jr. caught the pushing pairs of race leader Jeff Gordon & Mark Martin and Clint Bowyer & Kevin Harvick, with partnered up Carl Edwards & Greg Biffle joining the dash to the line. Bowyer led the most laps for his second 2nd place finish in a row. Johnson, Earnhardt, Gordon and Martin made it a huge day for Hendricks Motor Sports taking 3 of the top 4 and 4 of the top 8 spots. Crashes during the day saw Kyle Busch take out Matt Kenseth and Brad Keselowski's car caused the biggest wreck of the day, ruining the day for a drivers like Kasey Kahne, David Ragan and Marcos Ambrose.
Sypher & ghto4 have been close to perfect but this week Howie72 goes perfect, with his drivers going 1, 2, 3 for the maiximum 133 points. Nightmare's starting drivers had a week that matched his screen name as he took the spoon this week with 59 points.
Lots of movement again, most importantly illiniman14 extending his lead to 50 points, the highest this season. Leo DaVinci moves out of last place and KrivoyRog and paper_aero now share that spot. Howie, who was in last place 2 weeks ago is up to 5th place and Nightmare reaches a season low of 7th place.
Next race is in 2 weeks at Richmond.

The back of the pack for our drivers last week moved to the front of the pack this week. Of the top 4 this week, 3 drivers, including race winner Kyle Busch, finished higher then 30th last race and the other driver, 2nd place finisher Denny Hamlin, had finished 23rd, in the back half of the field. Points leader Carl Edwards who finished 6th last week rounded out this weeks top 5. Only Jeff Gordon from last weeks top 5 dropped to the back half of the field this week.
6 tippers picked both the 1st & 2nd place drivers and 3 others had race winner Kyle Busch on thier starting teams. If LeoDaVinci or paper_aero had started Kasey Kahne they would have been perfect, but they left just enough room for BxBarracuda to get the HoF this week, with 124 points. Howie72's fortunes reversed as he got the spoon, but this was the closest the HoF and Spoon have been all year and he also still eclipsed the century mark with 101 this week.
Bad blood is brewing between Juan Pablo Montoya and Ryan Newman. Newman squeezed Montoya early in the race causing him to need repairs and fall behind laps, never to recover. This was followed by what can only be called an intentional spinning out of Newman's car by Montoya, when Newman was running 8th at the time. Newman's microphone picked up audio to make folks think this isn't over between them.
Next race is next week at Darlington.

Illinman14 extends his lead with another HoF and the lucky numbers of the day were 108 and 102, as 7 of the 11 of us scored one of those two numbers. The unlucky number belonged to Bx as he scored 95 to take this week’s spoon and occupy last place this week.
Regan Smith earned his first Sprint Cup Series win ever, holding off Carl Edwards. None of us had Regan Smith or Brad Keselowski, who finished 3rd, and no one started Kasey Kahne who got his 2nd top 5 in a row finishing 4th. Only 2 of us had drivers who finished in the top 5 starting, gtho4 and illiniman14 had 2nd Place finisher Carl Edwards and illiniman14 also had 5th place finisher Ryan Newman on his starting team.
There were a lot of flats and spin outs but the crash of the day has to go to David Ragan and Brian Vickers, where Ragan's car ends up peeling back the outer portion of Vickers driver’s side door like a can opener.
Another late crash with 4 laps to go moved a few of the cars running in the top 10 all day further back in the pack. This also caused the bad blood of the week between Kevin Harvick and Kyle Busch. Kyle was instrumental in spinning Kevin out and ruining his top 5 day. After the race Harvick, while still in his car, tracked down Kyle, who was in his car, following his every move and blocking him from getting towards Pit Row. Finally both were on Pit Row, Kevin in front of Kyle, then as Kevin got out to chat with him Kyle pushed Kevin's car out of the way and took off running.
Next race is next week at Dover.

The key point in the race came with 39 laps to go when Juan Pablo Montoya spun out on his own. All cars except for Mark Martin pitted at this time and the leaders took 4 tires while some others took just 2. Mark Martin restarted 1st and Matt Kenseth by taking 2 tires made it off Pit Road first and restarted 2nd. A handful of other cars also only took two tires which left Jimmie Johnson and Carl Edwards, who between them led 324 of the 400 laps, restarting 9th and 11th which didn't leave enough time to make it back to the front on their faster tires. Matt Kenseth passed Mark Martin soon after the restart and held on for the lead, while Martin held on for an easy 2nd as the battle for 3rd was a tough one, which was won by Marcos Ambrose over Kyle Busch.
No major wrecks and no bad blood this week. A.J. Almindinger and Kasey Kahne were running up front for most of their days, until they had to come off the track, with Kahne's car having engine issues. It was nice to see no bad wrecks following the wild finish with Joey Logano wrecking Ryan Newman and others on the final lap in the Nationwide race. This followed a real bad crash between two of the younger drivers during the Nationwide race, with one car crossing sideways in front of oncoming traffic and having half the nose ripped off the car.
BxBarracuda bounced back to the HoF this week led by strong performances by race winner Matt Kenseth and runner up Mark Martin. Ozzz2002 took the spoon this week with 80 points and moving him back to his season low of 3rd place. This allowed gtho4 to move up to a season high of 2nd place.
Illiniman14 extended his lead again as his lead over 2nd place is now 20 points larger then 2nd places lead over last place.

Last two spots in the Chase are determined by the 2 drivers not already in the Chase, have the most wins and are ranked in the top 20. Right now only Jeff Gordon meets the criteria of non top 10, having a win and in top 20. Regan Smith has won a race as well but is currently only 27th in points, Trevor Bayne has a win this season, but is not scoring poitns in the Sprint Cup Series this year, he chose the Nationwide Series to score points in.
Next race is in two weeks at Charlotte for the longest race of the year the Coca Cola 600.

Tributes and a large amount of military men and women mark this annual Memorial Day Weekend race.
During lap 181 race leader, and a favorite amongst FT Tippers, Jamie McMurray blew an engine leaving more than half of us with no room for our other three drivers to make any errors. Lots of juggling of places during cautions, depending on who had and hadn’t pitted yet. Paul Menard, Brian Vickers and Martin Truex Jr. all got into each other, with only Vickers being able to stay on the lead lap. With 106 to go Landon Cassil wipes out in the infield, wrecking his day. With 99 to go Mark Martin and David Gilliland get into each other and Martin is pinned against the wall, with Ryan Newman being unable to get by without wrecking his car as well. Laps 82 and 57 had former race leader Kyle Busch careening through the infield, the second trip through the infield sending him to the garage as well, this also put knots in the stomachs of the 8 of the 11 of us who start him. 5 laps to go has the dreaded white smoke pouring out of Jimmie Johnson's car and he heads to the garage with engine trouble, this leads to drivers and their teams playing with how much fuel they have left and can they make it to the end. Heartbreak for Dale Earnhardt Jr. as he is clear in the lead and runs out of fuel with less than 1/2 a lap to go as Kevin Harvick comes from behind to win another one this year.
Denny Hamlin was in trouble 3/4 though the race but cheers to his pit crew who changed out his carburetor without him losing a lap and he was able to get a top 10 finish out of the day. Greg Biffle was roasting in his car for the first half of the race as his cooling system wasn't working properly and it wasn't until halfway through the race that his team was able to fix the problem.
Jamie McMurray's & Kyle Busch's bad days spelled bad news for 10 of the 11 of us, only gtho4 didn't have either driver on his starting team, but 4 tippers had both drivers, which lead to the second lowest scores as whole for us this year. Bx seems to have almost figured something out as he hits his third HoF in 4 weeks, that other week was a wooden spoon though. Nightmare joins him in the HoF this week, getting his first, as they both scored 114 points, gtho4 was the only other tipper over 100 this week. The two men tied at the hip so far this season got the spoons with 58.
Illiniman14 may just yet be human as he had his first off week and most of the rest of the pack was able to make a dent in his large lead.

Lap 181?! you are kidding...How many laps do these drivers drive and how big is a lap anyway? (given that F1 has about 56-60 laps in total...)

Dale Jr ran out of gas with half a lap to go, I did too! And......., Nascar had better keep their noses out of Chad Knaus' live-air comment of dropping the f-bomb when Johnson's engine let go. That is the broadcasters fault for them having live-mics on during broadcasts. What did they expect? Knaus said, "Are you f****** kidding me?" Chad said it so low and calmly as he always speaks without ever going over the top. I laughed so hard that I cried! Thanks Bx for always doing the tipping really quick. I know its a pain sometimes working that in.

I heard that the F-bomb was used during the race and was surprised. Don't know if the uproar will be as big as the Super Bowl show a few years ago though.

This week’s winner is Brad Keselowski. Keselowski finished the race on fumes coasting at times on the last laps. 2nd place finisher Dale Earnhardt Jr. & 3rd Place finisher Denny Hamlin also took one less pit stop then the rest stretching their fuel, while they didn’t run out of gas they could not catch Keselowski, who took the lead from his teammate and pole sitter Kurt Busch who also led the most laps with 9 laps to go.
Nightmare makes it back to back HoFs, this one solo, with a solid performance from his drivers of 121 points. KrivoyRog & paper-aero make it back to back wooden spoons with 98 points this week.
Illiniman14 bounces back from last week’s performance but only extends his lead by 1 point and now has a 2nd person that far behind him as Nightmare tied gtho4 for 2nd place. George95 bounces up a couple of spots to 4th, now ahead of Ozzz2002 & BxBarracuda by 1 point. LeoDaVinci gets himself out of last place as this week’s spooners have taken over that spot.
There were a few cars that hit the wall if they got out of line and climbed too high, but other than that it was very uneventful with few cautions.
In other news Kyle Busch was out earning his nickname Rowdy again earlier in the weekend. Following the Truck race which he ran in and did some extra bumping with a Richard Childress owned truck, Childress found Kyle after the race and reportedly put him in a headlock and put hit him a few times. Kevin Harvick, whom Busch had an incident with last month, that left both those drivers on probation, drives one of Childress's cars, which may have led to the reaction of Chrildess. NASCAR cleared Busch of any wrong doing in this instance, though Childress had faced some and could face more restrictions etc. from NASCAR for his actions.
Next race is the Pocono 500 next week at Pocono Raceway.

To quote the great Chad Knaus, "Are you ****ing kidding me?" The race just ended a few hours ago, and the results are already up? Wow to Bx! This looks like an inevitable upcoming rivalry between gtho4's Ford admiration with "GT-HO Phase Fours" and Nightmare's anti-Ford endeavors of "Fords are Frauds". "The Right Turns" with driver illiniman14 might as well pit now for new tires because you're going to get run over by at least one driver.

Mr. Consistent Carl Edwards was out of the race early with a valve issue but did reenter the race very late. Jeff Gordon cruised to his second win of the season followed by the Busch boys in age order.
The word of the day was "clutch", first early race leader Denny Hamlin, who would lead the most laps during the race, had some issues with the his clutch pedal needing more pressure than usual, Jamie McMurray left the track due to clutch issues and Marcos Ambrose was also bitten by the clutch bug, losing all gears except 3rd at one point. Next was Tony Stewart who lost 3rd gear and started to slip back in the pack. Closest thing I saw to a crash was Greg Biffle spinning out on his own late in the race.
Sypher wins a hotly contested HoF this week, denying LeoDaVinci his first HoF of the year by one point, as he scored 128 points. No luck for gtho4 this week as 3 of his 4 drivers had car issues which left them near the rear of the pack and him with the spoon with a 63.
The Wooden Spoon cost gtho4 5 positions on the leaderboard and the HoF moved Sypher up 3 spots. For the second week in a row Illiniman14 extends his lead by 1 point over second place Nightmare.
Next race is the Helluva Good! Sour Cream Dips 400 next week at Michigan International Speedway

Due to an adding error on my part in regards to my Chase drivers for this current Transfer Window, I have had an illegal team. My three Chase Drivers, Kevin Harvick (-41), Matt Kenseth (-328) and Jeff Gordon (-440) only added up to -815, not the required -900 for 3 drivers. I only now realized my error while I was getting my team for the next Transfer Window together.
It has been suggested for a pentaly, and if all agree, that points from my top driver each week be removed from my score and points from my 4th place starter be put in that place.
See above how this scenario would effect my score, as well as below as to it's effects on the HoFs & Wooden Spoons. I fall to last place after losing a total of 122 points. I lose 2 HoFs and get an additional Wooden Spoon. Paper_Aero & KrivoyRog gain their first HoFs of the season and lose one of their Spoons.
I am not going to go back and change all the posts over the last 5 weeks, but I will be posting an adjusted current standings.
The Weekly Averages have been adjusted, with the Season Average dropping 10 points, the Season Best Picks dropping 13 points and the Season Wooden Spoons dropping 29 points.
