Lots of upsets caused chaos with our ladder. Howie72, gtho4 and MrFox only scored 2/8 and plummeted from second to eleventh. ozzz2002 fluked 5/8 and went from twelfth to second.
The three unbeaten teams in the League are- Newcastle, Melbourne and Canterbury. Before the season started, two of these teams were strongly backed to run last. Who's be a bookie, eh?
In a local derby, Penrith beat Parramatta after getting creamed in R1. Manly ran all over the Roosters at the end, and in the Upset of the Century, Cronulla, beat their neighbours and premiership favourites, St George.

Noboby retained their position from last week, and there were some rather spectacular movements. Eraserhead fell from first to eighth, N-Bomb went from second to twelfth and LeoDaVinci dropped from sixth to thirteenth. These three gentlemen, and also Howie72 all scored spoons.
In a rather unusual application of Newton's Third Law of Motion (look it up!  ), gtho4 picked 6/8 and jumped from eleventh to third. Copago also picked a HoF score and is on her way up.
A late arrival for this year is Davjack - welcome back for another year, mate.

Last week 6 out of 8 was good enough for a HoF. This week, two players scored 7 of 8, and that was not enough, as Howie72 picked the flipping lot!
Fussbudget jumped into second spot behind surprise (and surprised) leader, ozzz2002, and there are a group of five running third.

I am not sure if it's the accepted word, but I have always been partial to being a Bronxonian. I know I'm coming in a bit late on this one, but Bx, in Strine (Australian language) Bronxster is good. The alternatives would be Bronxo or Bronxy.

Only four games this round because of rep games. For the record, Country Origin beat City Origin, and more importantly, Australia beat New Zealand.
With the limited amount of games, quite a few players tipped four from four. Take a bow, FussBudget, Howie72, wwe84 and Sypher. For three of those gentlemen, that was their first HoF gong.
On the flipside, several players scored spoons with 2/4. BxBarracuda (his first), N-Bomb, Davjack, gtho4 and MrFox, who has now scored five spoons in a row. |

We had five games where the majority of tipsters went the wrong way. gtho4 bucked the trend and finished with a very handy 6/8. He leapfrogged the previous leader, paper_aero and now sits on top of the heap.
At the other end of the ladder, Copago went for a couple of upsets that did not work and subseqquently spooned it with 2/8.

For the second week in a row, all the home teams won, making a mockery of the sweeping statement I made last week!
Three players managed to scoop the pool- paper_aero, illiniman14 and Howie72. This pushed paper_aero into a share of the lead with gtho4. The other two blokes moved up into third.
To make it all nice and symmetric, three players also scored a spoon. MrFox, Copago and ozzz2002 scored 4/7. |

A draw between Parramatta (who should have won) and St George, made it hard for anyone to pick the card, however, MrFox picked the remaining seven games to take this week's HoF!
gtho4 only managed 3/8 and slipped back to second, two points behind paper_aero.
Copago also picked a 3/8 and swapped places with the Fox. |

Two very exciting finishes this weekend. Brisbane were leading 24-0 with only about 15 minutes to go- Canberra scored 4 tries in 9 minutes to force a golden point playoff. Brisbane scored a field goal to scrape home. Across the Tasman, the Tigers went one better- they came from 22-4 down to win by 4. St George suffered because of their stars on rep duty and went down to Gold Coast. Eraserhead was the only tipster to score here.
There were three HoF awards handed out to Eraserhead, ozzz2002 and N-Bomb with three spoons going to FussBudget, BxBarracuda and paper_aero, who had his lead chopped to a single point.

St George lost their second in a row, to Brisbane, and Cronulla upset Canterbury. Two people picked the first result but no-one picked the other one.
gtho4 bounced back into a share of the lead with 5/8. The other HoF awards went to BxBarracuda who snuck up to third, N-Bomb, who is now eighth, and Davjack who did not move at all.
Mr Fox now has eight spoons and is reportedly not too happy with them. |

A huge range of scores this week, ranging from 2/8 to 7/8. Sypher navigated a minefield to pick up an amazing 7/8 and jumped from eighth to third. His rung-sharer from last week, FussBudget got 2/8 and fell from eighth to eleventh.
gtho4 has snuck back into outright leadership, but there are plenty of contenders breathing down his neck.
