Week 2 sees a lot of movement as per usual, with Sypher and illiniman14 taking the win and Spoon respectively. Sypher's win vaults him into a dead-heat for 2nd while illiniman14 drops to the cellar and is the only one in single digits.
Welcome back to Dizart who missed week 1, and gave us a new record 19 tippers in the MLB.
Srini is our first defaulter this year, and he picked a decent week to do so.
Two players were late and points have been deducted accordingly. The deadline for MLB has been Thursday midnight FT since 2008.

Toronto Blue Jays at Los Angeles Angels (in 14) We wuz robbed! Ump made a horrible call on Escobar at third a couple of innings earlier  This one went on so long that I thought the F1 race would be on (at 4 a.m.) before it finished! Love those extra innings.

So what I'm getting from this is that the default picks were 3X better than my own... I guess I've already made my last pick! Only this week. Next week it could be 2.

Quite a bit of movement again this week, and not a week to go default as only four road teams won.
This week shows that games can be postponed, and this week would have allowed a tipper to have picked 12 or 13 and still get a near miss bonus point. One more postponement would have meant nothing...even at 12/12.
Gillyharold evened out his HoF-WS total at one each, and PaulE is still in front by two.

Only three stayed in their same position from last week, and one was a defaulter. This week was also a good week to default as nine road teams won.
No games were postponed this week as the rain stayed away long enough to play, although it was stormy in Texas for their game! The Royals and Rangers got to play under a light show, as there was plenty of lightning off the field; not much on the field though, as Texas won 3-1.
Several people breathed a sigh of relief as two players scored five and kept the sixes from taking a Spoon.
Both paper_aero and Sypher must have known something everyone else didn't, since they both picked the Red Sox to win at Angel Stadium and took the only bonus points of the week.

Seven must have been the lucky number this week, as seven players correctly tip seven, and default was also seven. It was also the number of runs the Rangers scored on the Yanks. 
Just over 50% strike rate this week, but there were zero games that went the way of the number of hits the Blue Jays got today...which was also zero. Only one Jay even made it to first, and he was erased by the next batter on a double play. Verlander is 28% of the way to tying that record...does the name Nolan Ryan ring any bells?
LeoDaVinci not only took the win, he also took a point for picking the Cubs to win at Wrigley. George95 also picked that win, and the aforementioned two are the only ones to earn any bonuses. Yes, games can end in ½ innings, especially if the road team was already ahead after the top of the inning AND five full innings had played. San Francisco had scored in the first and third, and due to that, SF had already been given the win when the game was called, pursuant to MLB rule 4.10c(1).
One thing of note: dg_dave's Spoonless streak has hit 40 weeks this week. He is only the 8th tipper in FT history to have a Spoonless streak at or above 40 weeks (he is hoping it continues ).

I am sure gtho4 is breathing a little easier knowing his lead is back to five points (and the fact that it is about 4am and he is sleeping now).
Our inactive tipper should have tipped this week, as he falls eight places since only four road teams won.
We hit our highest strike rate for the season at just below 63%, or 9.4 per game...no wonder the wooden spoon score was seven this week! They were also the only two not to hit 50% for the week. Only four games were not tipped correctly by ten or more.
Another person that is breathing easily right now is dg_dave, who went spoonless for the 41st week in a row, tying him for 7th place overall on that list.

Quite a bit of movement again this week, with only srini701, gtho4, and the bottom three staying where they were. Both rxbigdawg and dg_dave hit new high marks for the season.
BxBarracuda's Spoon saw him tumble from third to 11th...even picking against his own team.
There is getting to be a pileup near the middle of the table. We have nine players that are only as much as two points apart (T-5th, T-7th, T-11th).
Four games went into extra innings this week, and one didn't get played at all (see note below). One game was tipped by everyone (Texas over Kansas City) and zero games were tipped by less than three, so no bonus points were awarded this week.
As long as the italicized number stays as is, the streak continues...up to 42 weeks now.
Note: George95 tipped both the Red Sox and Tigers (looking at "View Source" I'd incline to say he intended to tip the Red Sox, but since the game was postponed, it didn't matter) to win. Call that a lucky break in your favor.

BxBarracuda's Spoon saw him tumble from third to 11th...even picking against his own team. Picking 4 out of 14 teams is horrible enough, but to be accused of not picking my Baltimore Orioles to win against the A's, especially when I have a feeling the assumption is I root for that local team, is too much to handle lol.

With as many people as there were last week as close as they all were, it's a wonder anyone stayed in their same position in the middle, but Howie72 seemed to do it at just the right time...everyone else from 2nd to 14th changed this week.
Speaking of Howie72, he and ozzz2002 were the only bonus earners this week by picking the Braves to win at Shea. What did these two know that the rest of us didn't?
Three sets of fans got their money's worth by watching extended games, with only one of those sets of fans upset by the road team winning (Boston won at Fenway and St. Louis won at new Busch).

Lots of people default this week, with only 13 of we 19 lodging tips. Considering that, there wasn't too much movement other than the fact that there are four in 8th place this week.
Places 2 through 15 are less than 10 points apart, so I see plenty of movement next week as well. We should also see our first tipper reach the century mark next week as well.
Only LeoDaVinci had something showing him that the Reds were going to absolutely terrorize the Giants in San Fran, and srini701 and spanishliz saw the Twins win in Minnesota over the Rangers. This Rangers fan is sad that his team lost, although if Colby Lewis would quit giving up long balls...
