Could we please separate the general category into several different categories? Right now, there are over 600 general quizzes, and the second most in a category is only 108. I think the general category could be split up to a few new categories.

Crossword subcategories have been requested by crossword editors over the past little while- hopefully within the next set of updates for crosswords we'll see something along these lines across all categories.

Yes, so I was told by SilverMoonSong. I originally messaged her, because I knew she was the head crossword editor (I think she still is, anyway), and she mentioned you guys have been wanting it. She mentioned posting it in the forums, too.

I thought the crossword editors could make categories just as quiz editors can, but I guess not. lol. I think the more people who request this the higher up it will be on Terry's no doubt humongous "to-do list".

SilverMoonsong is the head crossword editor and she was the one who originally posted the request amongst a number of prominent crossword bugs (on the editor side and player side). It's all on Terry's to-do pile, but I'm not sure how high on the ladder crosswords are in terms of fixes. Usually he does away with a number of major issues and then the rest are dealt with on the next big fix.

Crosswords are a completely different animal from the rest of the site. They are also newer, so we don't have all the fine tuning that quizzes have, like being able to add subcats. It's definitely on my list for Terry
