Gameplay
********
-PYRAWORD is an on-going word game, open to players 24/7.

-A "round" begins with a 3-letter word. (This word will be the first 3-letter from the daily headlines at Canada.com)*note: 3-letter words will never be used more than once

-Players must change one letter, and add one letter, to form a new, valid word.**NOTE: The NEW "added" letter, CANNOT be the same as the letter that was changed.**

-An example of gameplay can be seen at the top of this page.

-A "round" ends when someone posts a word that no one else can expand on, within the span of 24 hours.

-A "match" ends on the last day of each month.

-A new "match" will commence on the 1st of every month.

RULES

-There are no time-slots. There is no signing up.
-Anyone may play at anytime, but you cannot post twice in a 12 hr period, in the same "round".

• Use Onelook.com for validity checks.
• Words must be from "definitions in English" at Onelook.com
• Words must be ENGLISH! (ONELOOK will return with "hits" that sometimes are pure foreign words. Watch out!)
  
• NO plurals accepted. Even if they don't end in the letter "S".
  
• NO hyphenated words accepted.
  
• NO abbreviations or acronyms accepted.
  
• NO proper names, or geographic locations accepted.
  

SCORING
********

• a valid entry is worth 1 point.
  
• 24-hour words are worth 2 points.
  

CHALLENGES
********
If someone posts a word that is not valid, they will receive 0 points for that entry.
If someone posts inside of 12 hours from a previous post, they will receive 0 points for the second entry.
It is up to other players to challenge on validity or timeslot conflicts, within 24 hours of the infraction.

NOTES
********
This game could theoretically run itself, with help from the players, but for now, I will post the starting three letter words for each "round".
This does not count as an entry.
Monthly winners will be announced by myself, and I will always be responsible for tallying scores.

I finally got around to amending the rules to include recently discovered grey areas.

No changes to the rules, just rising this thread to the top to start off the new MATCH.
Wow, MATCH 6 at that! I am glad others enjoy playing this game that I made up almost half a year ago.
Now, if only I myself could win one of these matches, I'd be really happy!
