next question for you .....

You have an empty container which holds 10 litres of fluid, and you have a 127ml container and a lot of mercury. How many 127ml containers of mercury can you put into this empty 10 litres container?

wow MR Yeti, not a Science teacher are you?..lol..well the answer i get is probably wrong as I hated these types of chem-physics problems when I was at school but here goes,

assuming the 10 l container means that it holds 10 l of water, then by my rough calc's you would be able to pour 5.78917of the 127ml cylinders into the container.....

10,000 ml's divided by 127 = 78.740157
78.740157 divided by 13.60(density of mercury) = 5.78917..

Like i said, I'm not holding out much hope...my science is very rusty...not that ever was well -oiled...lol

I asked "How many 127ml containers of mercury can you put into this empty 10 litres container?"

After you put one container of mercury in, the 10 litre container is no longer empty!

I figured I'd have to be sneaky to get you to miss, seeing as every other question I thought of over the last month or two you got!
