Another year when I have to visit several shops to find a card saying Mothering Sunday and not Mothers' Day for my mother, who insists on the traditional name. My local Asda must have had about 200 different cards but not one of them with the right wording. The little card/gift shop in the village had at least ten different designs, by contrast.

Mothers Day wishes to all Mums everywhere, even though I know Mothers Day is later in the US smile If you're lucky enough still to have a Mother, don't forget to tell them that you love them today - I know I will!

This year I had three cards, one from my daughter, one from the grandchildren in which my three year old grandson has 'written' his name and best of all, a card from my son. This is the first from my son in very many years so most welcome as he is still free from drugs.

I see that all three of them have 'Mother's Day' inside, not Mothers' Day even.

That is good news, Sue, and encouraging. My son has, as usual, forgotten, but my daughter took me out for lunch.

Yes, ours is in four weeks...2nd Sunday of May, and the earliest possible this year.
