What an interesting quest I've now been on,
The moveable feast to reveal.
I've found that our Easter is based on the moon
A tradition that's filled with much zeal.

In answer to Quest number 195,
I can say without much hesitation
That Easter's the Sunday past "Paschal Full Moon"
In just about every nation.

It was June in the year of 325
and astronomers just got right to it
They figured full moons out for every month
nothing fancy, they just had to do it.

They called it "Ecclesiastical Full Moon"
"EFM" if you want to abbreviate.
And Easter must come after March 20th
the same as when Jesus met his fate.

It always must fall March 22-April 25
And that's cuz astronomers said it.
So now, my dear Sagie, if that answer's right
I pray, oh sweet one, give me credit.

Quest 196...In the 8th century BC King Numa Pompilius added January (Janus, god of doorways) and February (februa, festival of purification) although the year still began on March 1 until 153 BC when it was set to 1 January making the numbered months look silly

If this is right may I hve another quest? You know this is addictive..

Oh Sage! I have been sorely beset by the demons of the cyber-void!

It is I, your crusader Squire Yeti. I have been forced to adopt this nom de plume because the evil FT bulletin board monster has shuffled my details, and I can not only no longer log in as "yeti", but I cannot even have my password details emailed to me because the "internal server error" demon devours my message!! (I think that they have taken Terry captive as well, as he has not responded to my calls for help)

Sage, I (finally) accept quest #181.

Dear Sagebrush, Master of the Quest
This last one was the very best!
Quest 197's done
And I must say, the work was fun.

Four words I've found that had no rhyme,
But I will fix that, given time!

The color orange we all know
And I can't rhyme it - it's no go!
And nothing rhymes at all with purple
Except, of course, for maple syrple!

Silver doesn't, then there's month
I had a word, I rhymed it onth! (Get it? Once? Onth? Oh, never mind.)

Now at last my task complete,
Please pour a double, tall and neat!!!

As to Quest 200, Sage
I barely need to turn a page.

Last night I DREAMT I had it done,
I had four words where once were none.

In spite of fears almost HORRENDOUS
I did a job just quite STUPENDOUS
I found the challenge quite TREMENDOUS!!

So send me, do, on yet another.
A quest more HAZARDOUS than any other!!

Well I just got back from the West and here's what I found for quest 203.
In 1781, the missionaries chose 44 settlers from San Gabriel to establish a new town on the banks of a stream about 9 miles (15km) southwest of the mission. They named the settlement El Pueblo de Nuestro Señora la Reina de los Angeles del Río Porciúncula (The Town of Our Lady the Queen of the Angels of the Porciuncula River) after a saint whose feast day had just been celebrated. Los Angeles, as the pueblo became known, soon developed into a thriving farming community.

If this is right M'lord I am ready to venture forth on a new quest. By the way I love this new format in the forums. Someone worked hard and had a great idea.
