thanks kl
ya Q116 was harder than I thought.
I am a big enthusiast of video games, and I do own a N64 (and love it), but no I've never played that game. I played a FIFA title for a while though. (which one exactly eludes me now)
Sadly though, I cannot afford to give up any more time than a few (if that) hours a week for gamin these days. (I have a family with a 7 yr old daughter, and 3 yr old son) If there were 48 hours in a day, then it might be different. =) no time, no time.
I just dug up the answer since I already know how get good FAQs for N64 games. Used one of my existing bookmarks to find it. =)

as to Q109, i actually stumbled upon it while looking for the answer to Q108 about 3 teams/country, lol. Since 109 had bonus value, I switched to answering it instead.
However, it doesn't look like I received points for it.
it was worth 40 pnts, correct? And since this is Blowout, that gets doubled to 80?
Do you agree that I am owed 80pnts for the question?

last day of shootout is today.... *bites nails*

jw,
what a beautiful city you live in! I've spent I don't know how long doing a virtual tour of Vancouver until I found the nine o'clock gun

hey kl,
you've got 2 daughters under 10, and I've got two boys under 10 .. now all we need is to win win 20 smackeroonies in powerball next week and hop over to jw's side of the Pacific, check out the sights, and watch the gun go off with 6 ankle-biters!

GTHO...I'm there....although I believe I had a statistically better chance of being selected to light the flame then we have at Powerball..however if I happen to have a good week and come by it u can book for us all..4 here...possibly 10 or so actually, there are a few more up here that spend enough time here to qualify as kids..lol...and WD on getting that bloody cannon..I swear I can entertain you by telling you absolutely every other gathering or expected gathering of one or more Vancouverins (is that the collective noun JW or is it Vancouverisms..or is it the people of Vancouver?)....from the AA meeting in Arbor house to the Waveboarding qualifiers that was on a sunday at 9:00...gj Gtho it had me beat...i'm getting that way on the Broadway play one soon..good q...

As for the soccer game, I too have had to sacrifice my budding N64 INT. Super 64 Soccer game due to the 4 or so hours a day that I never really had but need to give yourself a chance to be competitive....no doubt the best sports game I have ever seen..the versions after this one, FIFA, CUP2000 etc not as good in terms of how to execute the game..better functionality for say picking your team colours though..usual story...Gtho4 if your kid's dreams are as I suspect to play at Elland Rd one day and they are playing and u ever come across the opportunity to grab this, even renting the thing for a weekend, which is how I first got hooked, you should definetly grab this game...so much uncontrollable glee in dipping one over the wall from 30 yards to score in the corner you wouldn't believe if I told you..and the best bit?...u get to replay from any angle u can think off with full FF, REW and Pause functions...lol..u can send your opposition into a murderous rage of course...but hey why else would they have it?..lol..

JW, have had a look back at Q109, which is:

Q109. "Fair Play" award's are another way that countries have been able to grab spots in the European Cups, with three countries awarded an additional place each in the UEFA Cup Competition. In the UEFA Cup Competitions held between the 1995-96 and 1998/99 (ie 4 cups contested), which two countries won the most additional spots? For further points, which country had another spot awarded to them, only to see it revoked and why?..

Ok I see three (3) q's here and yeah worth 20 points each:

(1) The name of BOTH countries..(Nor and Eng);
(2) The country that had 4but had one revoked....(Eng) and
(3) The reason they lost the spot..(Underage Teams etc)

You answered them all so I'd say 60..what did Sage give you and if it was less thenn I would support 60, I guess u are getting 80 from the first answer having two countries and counting Eng and Norway as 20 each..if this is what normally is scored so if u answer 114., which is:

Add the missing letters to this sequence (5)

P, _ , A, B, _ , R, _ , S, _ , M, T, _ , A, L.

and you got all 5 letters correct then that would be 100 points?..if so then by all means 80 points.. I'd say that in the Q114 example with the letters that the 5 missing letters are the Question, so if u only get 4 of them correct, then u have not got the correct answer at all...the whole Question is 20 points I'd reckon but can see the other side too...I will leave it up to the wise and let Sage call it, but support the fact u got 100% of any points for the Q....

Sage if u are getting this, it's your call...

allrighty, I'm off back to the darn Broadway Play posts which is dangerous for me this late at night if I want to fall asleep in bed and not in front of this screen...j/k..for me anyway...thanks and Gtho I can hear that Maple -leafed cannon ringing for me now...it tolls for thee...get that thermos ready JW any day now....lol..cya

Just ine more thing...big apologies to anyone doing Q114 that I mentioned above... U may notice that I had originally posted the Q...Add the missing letters to this sequence (3)

P, _ , A, B, _ , R, _ , S, _ , M, T, _ , A, L.

...umm another quick count I spy 5 spaces in which a letter is required, which was by original intention so I have editted it to read...Add the missing letters to this sequence (5)

P, _ , A, B, _ , R, _ , S, _ , M, T, _ , A, L.

If anyone has lost any time due to the confusingly inconsistent (3) then I am happy to fill 2 of the spaces in and leave three..just yell out..

Thanks..
KL

Hey GTHO...i'm off now to re-edit Shootout post for Q 114, fair enough too..now, which ones do I give bacK??....

Update on edit to Q114..I am about to do some minor arranging on Q114. which will result in three gaps (3) and amazingly one less letter altogether...hope this hasn't thrown anyone too badly off...Gtho..?...if so I will restitute by filling in another gap...ok I'm gone...

LOL you two.
Glad to hear you like the looks of my city.
i thought for sure I had worded that well enough, to make it gettable, but not easy =)
The ( o'clock gun also signals a days end of shootout, dontchya know? (9:00 pm Pacific = midnight FT time)

kl, you're heart is in the right place, but your typing fingers have gone AWOL. Now the question asks for (5) letters, but there are only 3 spaces left. LOL. edit that again, and delete all the other "edited on ..."'s while your there

also, I hope we can resolve this missing points from total before the new round begins on Monday

and what about Radar's rabbits! eh heh eh eh

no more time, but I'll come back tonight, unless I fall asleep as per norm, around 10:00 pm

on 9-25 I had 690pnts
after the update on 9-28, I correctly answered 105 and 97, worth 20 pnts each (40), then doubled (80)
on 9-28 I had 770pnts

so my reasoning says my answer to 109 was inadvertently omitted.

(trying to make my point clearer for Sage) I hate to throw a wrench into someone else's machine
