Q37. "Bob's your uncle" is a phrase which is widely by people in the english speaking world. It is basically used to to emphasize how easily and simply a result is attained, for example, "Invite England for an Ashes Cricket series, and Bob's your uncle, cricketing joy for all Australian cricket lovers".

This phrase originates from an actual event in history which involves a person called Bob, his uncle and an easily attained result. Who were the original nephew and his Uncle Bob and exactly what resulting outcome was attained?

Q38. In the film, "Star Trek VI - The Undiscovered Country" there is a scene where members of the Enterprise are having dinner with the Klingons. The meal that night was squid - dyed blue. When the scene was being produced, it seemed that none of the actors were keen on the strangely coloured main course and refused to eat it. In desperation, the director offered to pay $20 a bite. How much and to which actor/actors did the director have to fork out?

13. Which bowler has the honour of being the greatest test wicket taker of old time for the shortest period of time, and how many tests did he hold the record for? karmaloupster 04-Oct-2000 9:06am

if you exclude the first wicket taker in Test history, A Hill, as he would be the only wicket-taker not the greatest wicket-taker .. the bowler is the Englishman J Southerton who held the all-time record of 3 wickets solely, and then jointly with A Shaw, until the next innings of the same match when the Australian bowler W Midwinter took his 4th wicket of that innings and his 4th all-time test wicket

kl, this is how I read the sequence ... the first Test match was between Australia and England at the MCG from 15 to 19-Mar-1877, and we batted first. The English bowler A Hill took the first test wicket when he bowled out N Thomson, the second wicket was taken by A Shaw (when T Horan was caught by A Hill), and the third wicket was taken by J Southerton (when he bowled B Cooper). J Southerton took two more wickets to finish the innings with a total of 3 wickets, and A Shaw bowled out the two tail-enders to also finish the innings with 3 wickets. England then batted and W Midwinter took 5 wickets in that innings. In Australia's second innings A Shaw took 5 more wickets to give him an all-time total of 8 wickets.

acts of nepotism by Prime Minister Lord Salisbury (family name Robert Cecil)appointed his rather less than popular nephew Arthur Balfour (later himself to be PM from 1902-11) to a succession of posts. The first in 1887 was Chief Secretary for Ireland, a post for which Balfour was considered unsuitable. The consensus among the irreverent in Britain seems to have been that to have Bob as your uncle guaranteed success, hence the expression and the common meaning it preserves of something that is easy to achieve .. all will be well .. all will be taken care of .. but the most popular seems to be simple as that yep, playing England at cricket lol

Q23. What do the following countries have in common?
United States
Iran
Nigeria
Pakistan
Saudi Arabia

Answer: The Common Link that ties these 4 countries together, unfortunately for the people involved, is that these countries all allow the execution of juveniles. Along with Yemen, they are the only ones who choose to contravene the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child, which prohibits capital punishment crimes committed by those under the age of 18.

the two highest scoring senior international soccer matches are:-
Libya v Oman 21-0 in the Arab Cup 1966
Tahiti v Cook Islands 30-0 in the South Pacific Games of 1971
some sources state that the match in 1971 did not involve full international sides and so may not be the highest score recognised by FIFA for internationals between its member countries
