There are some matters that have to be cleared up from last month's game. First, JW got the points for Q109, but none of the bonus points offered by KL. Second, I am the only one that can offer bonus points. Please don't do this again. I offer bonus points to have some fun and spice up the game once in a while. Why would any player want to offer more points then they can receive themselves? Third, when submitting question try to limit them to one or two answers at max. It would be too confusing to try and be fair for partial answers. Fourth, talk up the "High Noon" game to other people in the forums. If there are tooo few players playing it, I will dis-continue it for lack of interest.

The Fast Show's one of my favourites kl. Paul Whitehouse has got to be one of the best comedy actors in the world. He's also an excellent opera singer. I expected Q9 to stay on a little bit longer than that gt, well done.

PE....yeah me too, the Fast Show I reckon is the best comedy since Python...it is off beat I suppose but amazingly funny..esp Ted and Mr Mayhew...the scene where he tells Ted that his wife is dead via the pub game is my fav...only one i close I reckon is another Brit comedy similair to Fast Show, The Big Train...also off beatish but funny....got to hand it to you British when it comes to quality humour....I'm off to search through Broadway Plays.... ...You ain't seen me...right!!...

PE, just saw your post above, I got lucky on the seated liberty question too KL, got an answer all ready for the greatest wicket-taker's shortest period, it answers your question, but I betcha a big mac and a small fries it's not the one your looking for so get your pens and pencils and sharpener ready! and, btw, I'm going (have gone) bonkas with the pistols and sid and now al capp and mr lee .. I run bigpond cable here at home (man what a difference) and crashed this pc once when I had eleven IE5 screens open at once (or, as Rex Mossop would say, simultaneously and at the same time) and tried to open a 12th, but somehow I don't think that's gonna help on the sid lee capp one gt

lol GTHO..not sure how placated you will be when you see the answer...it was devised in one of my more obscure moments...as for the pistols they are full of interesting tidbits....most of them seem so unreal these days that they are perfect for this...lol

hey KL, where ru - barbs42 is calling your Q95 as Staten Isalnd isn't a city, it's a borough - that was a big issue in snake a few weeks back on names of cities and towns in the USA, and btw q95 has driven round the bend barbs42, welcome aboard, and have some fun p.s. please don't stop firing at KL in Shootout PE, now we're after Colossimo! how many more players from down under wil thee be at Elland Road .. has anyone ordered more vegemite, a couple of container-loads wouldn't go astray. Colossimo played for oz against ManU in July last year at the Olympic Stadium, and And(y)rew Cole hacked him in the 2nd half as he was stopping hime getting past, and he ended up on a strectcher with a broken leg - Cole was booed off at the end of the match - do you think this buy'll come off?

Ok...Barbs may have me on Q95...let's amend that to... "What do these geographical areas have in common.." I think the answer to this one will be in the same boat as the Sid Vicious, Al Capp and Brandon Lee...obscure for sure, I did those 2 on the same night....as for Leeds chasing more Oz players, I'm sure that Aust. Soccer is happy but surely Leeds realises that Oz players also have to be realesed for longer then normal International Duty every now and again..but that won't be an issue..lol welcome barbs42 and don't stop with my questions, lol, you are quite right and the question should read as above....good luck and enjoy... Ok Thanks for the welcome. I am going to attempt to get into this shootout stuff. I have been looking at the questions - guess it is time to try to start answering them.

hiya barbs42, our daily quota of answers is one daily and one stumper, and we're allowed to post a new question for each answer given; and there's no posting of answers or question on weekends (shootout sort of closes down) ... have just brought the SO rules up to the top for you to look at as a newcomer I think sage'll probably bend the rules slightly for you till you get into the swings of things, he's been pretty busy lately but should log on later today and let us know his verdict btw is b42 male or female? from downhere george aka gt ~~~~~~~ p.s. as you're more than 50 points away from second place you're also allowed to answer one of sage's song questions in addition to your normal daily quota, sort of like a free swing for newbies [This message has been edited by gtho4 (edited 10-09-2000).]

Happy Birthday Sage! Did you really think you'd get away with the Swiss Army one gt? I hope I've got it right 'cos I used your answer from "I need an Answer"! I never knew anything about Colossimo until I read your post. I would imagine that if O'Leary wants him then we'll get him. After all it would surely be a dream move for him and the money shouldn't be a problem. As for the vegemite, it's now on sale in supermarkets over here so they can get their hands on as much as they like!

Sage, #32 is JW's question. I thought at first you meant I hadn't sent in an answer to 24. Since KL got it right, it shoud be removed from the list of current unanswered questions. [This message has been edited by chessart (edited 10-09-2000).]
